This 2-in-1 unit combines a solar panel with a 1000mAh Li-ion rechargeable battery, offering a sustainable solution for compatible trail cameras, especially wireless/cellular models. Its durable, weather-resistant construction ensures reliable performance in various outdoor conditions.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Mounting the Solar Panel

  1. Select a location that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day. Avoid shaded areas.
  2. Attach the adjustable T-Swivel bracket to a tree or post using the provided mounting hardware.
  3. Secure the solar panel to the T-Swivel bracket.
  4. Adjust the panel's angle to face the sun directly for optimal charging efficiency. The bracket allows for flexible positioning to gather sufficient light even in low-light conditions.

4.2 Connecting to Your Trail Camera

  1. Locate the external 12-volt DC jack on your compatible trail camera (e.g., Stealth Cam, Muddy, WGI).
  2. Connect the Secure Lock DC Plug from the solar panel's 10ft insulated metal cable into the camera's DC jack. Ensure the connection is firm and secure.
  3. The updated design includes a NEW 12V DC input, allowing you to connect multiple solar panels together for increased power output if desired.

5. Operation

5.1 Charging

Once properly installed and connected, the HME Sol-Pak Solar Power Panel will automatically begin charging its internal 1000mAh Li-ion battery when exposed to sunlight. This stored energy then powers your connected trail camera, significantly extending its operational time in the field.

5.2 Battery Indicator

The unit features a convenient LED battery indicator that provides a quick visual reference of the remaining charge. Refer to the indicator lights to monitor the battery status at a glance.

6. Compatibility

The HME Sol-Pak Solar Power Panel is designed for use with Stealth Cam, Muddy, and WGI hunting trail cameras that feature an external 12-volt DC jack. The included DC plug is a 5.5 x 2.0mm size. Please verify your camera's DC input jack size to ensure compatibility. An adapter may be required for cameras with different plug dimensions (e.g., Tactacam cameras typically use a 4.0 x 1.7mm plug).
