1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your ARTCISE AS90C Carbon Fiber Tripod. Designed for stability and versatility, this heavy-duty tripod is suitable for various photography and videography applications.

2. Included Components

3. Setup Instructions

3.1. Leg Extension and Adjustment

  1. Unlock Leg Sections: Rotate the quick-release twist locks counter-clockwise to loosen each leg section.
  2. Extend Legs: Pull each leg section outwards to the desired length. The tripod features 4-section carbon fiber legs.
  3. Lock Leg Sections: Rotate the quick-release twist locks clockwise to secure each leg section firmly in place.

3.2. Leg Angle Adjustment

  1. Release Angle Lock: Locate the angle adjustment lock on each leg near the top plate. Pull the lock outwards to release the leg.
  2. Adjust Angle: Position the leg to one of the three available angle settings.
  3. Secure Angle: Push the angle adjustment lock back into place to secure the leg at the chosen angle. This allows for multi-angle shooting and stability on uneven terrain.

3.3. Mounting Base and Bowl Adapter Installation

  1. Access Mounting Area: If a flat plate is installed, loosen the anti-interference locking lever to remove it.
  2. Install 75mm Bowl: Insert the 75mm bowl into the tripod's top plate. Ensure it is seated correctly.
  3. Secure Bowl: Tighten the anti-interference locking lever to firmly secure the 75mm bowl.
  4. Install Bowl Adapter: Screw the 75mm bowl adapter onto the 75mm bowl. This allows for quick leveling of your camera or fluid head.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Adjusting Working Height

To adjust the working height, follow the leg extension steps (Section 3.1). The tripod offers a minimum height of 3.9 inches and a maximum height of 61.8 inches, accommodating various shooting perspectives.

4.2. Leveling with the 75mm Bowl

The 75mm leveling bowl allows for quick and precise leveling of your camera or fluid head, which is particularly useful for panoramic photography or video. Once the bowl adapter is installed, simply adjust the ball within the bowl until the bubble level indicates a level position, then tighten the locking mechanism.

4.3. Switching Foot Options

The tripod comes with removable rubber feet and stainless steel spikes. To switch between them:

  1. Remove Rubber Foot: Unscrew the rubber foot from the bottom of the tripod leg.
  2. Install Spike: Screw the stainless steel spike into the threaded opening at the bottom of the leg.
  3. Secure: Ensure the spike is tightly fastened for stability on soft or uneven ground.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe down carbon fiber legs and metal parts with a soft, damp cloth after each use, especially if used in dusty, sandy, or wet environments. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Lubrication: Periodically check leg locks and moving parts for smooth operation. Do not over-lubricate.
  • Storage: Store the tripod in its provided bag in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect all screws, joints, and locks for tightness and wear. Use the provided Allen keys to tighten any loose screws.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Tripod Instability: Ensure all leg section twist locks and leg angle locks are fully tightened. Verify that the mounting base or bowl adapter is securely fastened.
  • Leg Sections Sticking: Clean the leg sections and twist locks to remove any dirt or debris that may be causing friction.
  • Difficulty Leveling: Check the 75mm bowl and its locking mechanism for any obstructions or loose components.
