3. Setup Guide
3.1. Battery Installation
The Cobra RX380 walkie talkies use 6 AA batteries (3 per radio), which are included. For optimal performance, use the provided rechargeable NiMH batteries.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Press down on the latch and slide the cover off.
- Insert the 3 AA batteries into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover, sliding it until it clicks securely into place.
3.2. Charging the Batteries

- Connect the USB-Y charging cable to the charging port on each radio.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Power On/Off and Volume
- To power on, press and hold the MODE button until the display lights up.
- To power off, press and hold the MODE button until the display turns off.
- Adjust volume using the UP and DOWN buttons.
4.2. Channel Selection
The RX380 features 40 preset channels, including 22 standard FRS channels and 18 pre-programmed channel/privacy code combinations.
- Press the MODE button once to enter channel selection mode. The channel number will flash.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to select your desired channel.
- Press the MODE button again to confirm the channel.
4.3. Transmitting and Receiving
- To transmit, press and hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) button on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone.
