1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Homasy 500ml Essential Oil Diffuser. This manual provides important information regarding the safe operation, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your device. Please read it thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.

Safety Information

  • Always place the diffuser on a flat, stable, and water-resistant surface.
  • Do not place the diffuser near heat sources, direct sunlight, or on electronic devices.
  • Use only clean tap water or distilled water. Do not use hot water.
  • Do not exceed the maximum water fill line.
  • Only use 100% pure, natural essential oils. Avoid corrosive or synthetic oils.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Unplug the diffuser from the power outlet before cleaning, refilling, or when not in use.
  • Do not touch the ultrasonic vibrating plate with bare hands.
  • If the diffuser emits an unusual smell or sound, unplug it immediately.

Components:

  • Mist Outlet: Where the cool mist is released.
  • Top Cover: Removable cover for accessing the water tank.
  • Water Tank: 500ml capacity for water and essential oils.
  • Max Water Line: Indicates the maximum fill level.
  • Ultrasonic Vibrating Plate: Generates mist (located at the bottom of the water tank).
  • Air Outlet: For air circulation.
  • Mist Button: Controls mist output and timer settings.
  • Light Button: Controls the LED night light.
  • Power Jack: For connecting the power adapter.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your diffuser for first use:

  1. Place the Diffuser: Position the diffuser on a flat, stable, and water-resistant surface away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
  2. Remove the Cover: Gently remove the top cover of the diffuser.
  3. Add Water: Fill the water tank with clean tap water or distilled water up to the maximum water line (500ml capacity). Do not overfill.
  4. Add Essential Oils: Add 3-5 drops of 100% pure essential oil directly into the water tank. Adjust the amount based on your preference and the size of the room.
  5. Replace the Cover: Securely place the top cover back onto the diffuser. Ensure it is properly aligned.
  6. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the power jack at the base of the diffuser, then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

Mist Control and Timer

Use the Mist Button to control the mist output and set the timer.

  • First Press: Continuous mist mode. The diffuser will operate until the water runs out or for 12-16 hours on low mist, 7-10 hours on high mist.
  • Second Press: 1-hour timer mode. The diffuser will operate for 1 hour and then automatically shut off.
  • Third Press: 3-hour timer mode. The diffuser will operate for 3 hours and then automatically shut off.
  • Fourth Press: 6-hour timer mode. The diffuser will operate for 6 hours and then automatically shut off.
  • Fifth Press: Turn off the mist function.

Light Control

Use the Light Button to control the LED night light with 14 color options.

  • First Press: Turns on the light with automatic color cycling through 14 colors.
  • Second Press: Fixes the light to the current color.
  • Subsequent Presses: Cycles through the 14 available colors, allowing you to select your preferred color. Each color can be set to a dim or bright intensity.
  • Long Press (2 seconds): Turns off the light function.

The mist and light functions can be operated independently.

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your diffuser. It is recommended to clean the diffuser once a week.

Cleaning the Water Tank

  1. Unplug the diffuser from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the top cover.
  3. Pour out any remaining water from the 'Drain Side' indicated on the tank. Avoid pouring water into the air outlet.
  4. Wipe the inside of the water tank with a soft cloth or sponge.
  5. For stubborn residue, add a small amount of white vinegar to the tank, let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then drain and wipe clean.

Cleaning the Ultrasonic Vibrating Plate

The ultrasonic plate is crucial for mist generation and should be cleaned carefully.

  • Dip a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol or white vinegar.
  • Gently wipe the surface of the ultrasonic vibrating plate to remove any mineral buildup or oil residue.
  • Do not use abrasive materials or sharp objects, as this can damage the plate.
  • Rinse the tank with clean water after cleaning the plate, ensuring no cleaning solution remains.

Storage

When not in use for an extended period, clean the diffuser thoroughly, ensure it is completely dry, and store it in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your diffuser, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
