Setup
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials, including the foam base and adhesive tape. Inspect the freezer for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your retailer immediately.
2. Placement
- Place the freezer on a firm, level floor that is strong enough to support the freezer when it is fully loaded.
- Allow at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space between the back and sides of the freezer and any adjacent walls to ensure proper air circulation.
- Avoid placing the freezer in direct sunlight or near heat sources such as stoves, heaters, or radiators.
- Do not install the freezer in areas where the temperature will fall below 0°F (-18°C) or rise above 110°F (43°C).

3. Power Connection
Before plugging in the freezer, allow it to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours. This allows the refrigerant to settle. Connect the freezer to a dedicated 120V/60Hz grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.
4. Initial Startup
After plugging in, the Power Indicator light will illuminate. Set the temperature control to the desired setting (refer to the Operating section). Allow the freezer to cool for several hours before loading it with food.
Operating Instructions
Temperature Control
The temperature control dial is located on the front of the freezer. Settings range from 'MIN' (least cold) to 'MAX' (coldest). A setting of '5' is generally recommended for optimal freezing. Adjust the dial to achieve your desired temperature. The freezer operates within a temperature range of -11.2°F to 10.4°F (-24°C to -12°C).
Indicator Lights
- Power (Green): Illuminates when the freezer is connected to power.
- Running (Blue): Illuminates when the compressor is running to cool the freezer.
- Alarm (Red): Illuminates if the internal temperature rises above the safe freezing range. Check the door seal and contents if this light is on.
Loading the Freezer
For best results, avoid overloading the freezer. Distribute items evenly to allow for proper air circulation. Utilize the included wire baskets for easy access to frequently used or smaller items.
Maintenance
Cleaning Your Freezer
Always unplug the freezer before cleaning. Use a soft cloth with a mild detergent and warm water to clean the interior and exterior surfaces. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or sharp objects. Dry all surfaces thoroughly.
Manual Defrosting
This is a manual defrost freezer. Frost buildup on the interior walls can reduce cooling efficiency. Defrost the freezer when the frost layer is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
- Unplug the freezer from the power outlet.
- Remove all food items and store them in another freezer or cooler.
- Open the lid and place towels on the floor around the freezer to catch melting ice.
- Locate the drain plug at the bottom of the freezer and remove it to allow water to drain. You may need to place a shallow pan underneath.
- Allow the ice to melt naturally. You can speed up the process by placing bowls of hot water inside the freezer (do not use sharp objects to chip ice).
- Once all ice has melted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly.
- Replace the drain plug, plug in the freezer, and allow it to cool for several hours before returning food.
