6. Operation

Once all components are installed and connected, you can power on your system. The Pure Base 500DX is designed for high cooling performance and silent operation. The mesh front panel and top cover ensure maximum airflow, while the pre-installed Pure Wings 2 fans provide efficient and quiet cooling.

  • Ensure all cables are properly connected and not obstructing fan blades.
  • Monitor system temperatures to confirm optimal cooling performance.
  • Adjust fan speeds via your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI or fan control software for desired noise levels and cooling.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and longevity of your PC case.

  • Dust Filters: The Pure Base 500DX features removable dust filters on the front, top, and bottom (for the PSU intake). Regularly clean these filters by removing them and gently brushing or washing off accumulated dust. Allow them to dry completely before re-installing.
  • Interior Cleaning: Periodically use compressed air to blow dust out of the case interior, especially from fan blades and heatsinks. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.

    • Verify the front panel power switch cable is correctly connected to the motherboard header.
  • Fans Not Spinning:
    • Check fan power connections to the motherboard or fan controller.
    • Ensure fan headers are enabled in BIOS/UEFI.
  • ARGB LEDs Not Working/Syncing:
    • Ensure the ARGB cable from the case is connected to a 3-pin 5V ARGB header on the motherboard (not 4-pin 12V RGB).
    • If using motherboard software, ensure the case's ARGB button is held for 3 seconds to transfer control.
    • Check the SATA power connection for the ARGB controller.
  • USB Ports Not Functioning:
    • Verify the USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 Type-C cables from the front I/O are securely connected to the corresponding headers on your motherboard.
