  • Do not cover crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil. This will cause overheating of the oven.

Setup and First Use

Unpacking

Carefully remove the oven and all accessories from the packaging. Remove any packing materials, stickers, or protective films from the unit and accessories. Keep packaging for future storage or transport if needed.

Placement

  • Place the oven on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface.
  • Ensure there is at least 4 inches (10 cm) of clearance on all sides of the oven for proper ventilation. Do not place the oven directly against a wall or under cabinets.
  • Do not place the oven on a stovetop or near any heat sources.

Initial Cleaning

Before first use, wipe the interior and exterior of the oven with a damp cloth. Wash all accessories (oven rack, air fryer basket, baking/drip pan, crumb tray) with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.

First Use (Burn-Off)

It is recommended to run the oven empty for approximately 15 minutes before cooking food for the first time. This helps to burn off any manufacturing residues and odors.

  1. Plug the oven into a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Set the Function dial to "Bake".
  3. Set the Temperature dial to 450°F (230°C).
  4. Set the Timer dial to 15 minutes.
  5. A slight odor or smoke may be present during this initial operation; this is normal and will dissipate. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
  6. Once the timer rings, turn all dials to "OFF" and unplug the oven. Allow it to cool completely before proceeding.

Operating Instructions

This section details how to use the various functions of your Schloß GTO23 oven.

General Operation

  1. Place food on the appropriate accessory (oven rack, air fryer basket, or baking pan).
  2. Insert the accessory into the desired rack position.
  3. Close the oven door.
  4. Plug the oven into a grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Select the desired function using the Function dial.
  6. Set the desired temperature using the Temperature dial.

Toast Function

Use the Toast function for bread, bagels, and frozen waffles. Place items on the oven rack in Position 3. Use the Toast Darkness dial to select your preferred shade (Light, Med, Dark). The timer will automatically adjust based on the darkness setting.

Bake Function (Convection)

Ideal for cakes, cookies, casseroles, and roasting meats. The convection feature circulates hot air for faster and more even cooking. Use the oven rack or baking pan, typically in Position 1 or 2 depending on food size.

Air Fry Function

Perfect for crispy foods like french fries, chicken wings, and vegetables with little to no oil. Place food in the air fryer basket. For best results, do not overcrowd the basket. Use Position 2 for most air frying tasks.

Broil Function (Convection)

Use for browning, melting cheese, or cooking thin cuts of meat. Place food on the oven rack or baking pan in Position 3, close to the top heating elements. Monitor food closely to prevent burning.

Warm Function

Keeps cooked food warm without further cooking. Use the oven rack or baking pan in any position.

Rotisserie Function

The oven supports rotisserie cooking for whole chickens or roasts. Refer to the specific rotisserie accessory instructions for assembly and use. Ensure food does not exceed the recommended weight limit (typically around 2.7 lbs for a whole chicken) and is securely fastened to the spit to prevent imbalance during rotation.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning will help maintain the performance and longevity of your Schloß GTO23 oven.

  1. Always unplug the oven and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Crumb Tray: Slide out the crumb tray from the bottom of the oven. Discard crumbs. Wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Reinsert the tray. Clean regularly to prevent grease buildup and potential fire hazards.
