5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Adding Ingredients
- Ensure the blender is unplugged before adding ingredients.
- Add liquids first, then soft ingredients, followed by harder ingredients.
- Do not exceed the maximum fill line indicated on the blending jar (1.4 L).
- Secure the lid firmly onto the blending jar. Ensure the measuring cup is inserted into the lid opening.
5.2 Using the Control Knob and Programs
The blender features a central control knob for selecting speed and programs, and an illuminated display.
- Power On/Off: Press the control knob to turn the blender on or off.
- Variable Speed: Turn the control knob to select one of the 12 speed settings. The display will show the current speed.
- Automatic Programs: The blender includes 5 automatic programs for common tasks. Rotate the knob to cycle through the programs (e.g., Smoothie, etc.). Once a program is selected, press the knob to start. The program will run for a pre-set duration and stop automatically.
- Pulse Function: For short bursts of power, select the 'Pulse' setting and press the knob. Release to stop. This is ideal for chopping or quickly mixing ingredients.
5.3 Using the Tamper
The tamper can be used to push thick or frozen ingredients towards the blades during blending, without stopping the motor. Only use the tamper through the opening in the lid, with the measuring cup removed. Never use other utensils.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your blender.
- Unplug: Always unplug the blender from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Integrated Cleaning Program: For quick cleaning, fill the blending jar with warm water and a drop of dish soap. Select the dedicated cleaning program (if available among the 5 programs) or use the pulse function for 30-60 seconds. Rinse thoroughly.
- Manual Cleaning: Disassemble the blending jar, lid, and measuring cup. Wash these parts in warm, soapy water. The blades are sharp; use caution. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Motor Base: Wipe the motor base with a soft, damp cloth. Never immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Store the blender in a clean, dry place. Ensure all parts are dry before storing.
7. Troubleshooting
- Blender Does Not Start:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
- Verify the blending jar is correctly seated and locked onto the motor base. The safety lock prevents operation if not properly assembled.
- Check if the lid is securely in place.
- Motor Stops During Operation:
- The blender may have overheated. Unplug the unit and allow it to cool down for at least 15-20 minutes before attempting to use it again.
- Too many ingredients or ingredients that are too thick may overload the motor. Reduce the quantity or add more liquid.
- Ingredients Not Blending Evenly:
- Add more liquid to the mixture.
- Use the tamper to push ingredients towards the blades.
- Use the pulse function for short bursts to redistribute ingredients.
