Setup

Setting the Time and Date

  1. Pull out the crown: Gently pull the crown out to the first click position to set the date, or to the second click position to set the time.
  2. Set the date (First Click): If the crown is in the first click position, rotate it clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the date. Ensure the date changes at midnight, not noon.
  3. Set the time (Second Click): If the crown is in the second click position, rotate it to move the hour and minute hands. Set the time to the desired hour and minute.
  4. Push in the crown: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into its normal position against the watch case. This will start the watch movement.

Note: Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement. If you need to set the date during this period, first set the time outside this window, adjust the date, and then reset the time.

Operating Your Watch

Wearing the Watch

Ensure the watch strap is comfortably snug on your wrist, allowing for proper blood circulation while preventing excessive movement of the watch. The strap should not be too tight or too loose.

Water Resistance

Your JACK MASON JM-A101-301 watch is water resistant up to 100 meters (328 feet). This means it is suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and showering. However, it is not recommended for diving or high-impact water sports. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water.

Important: Do not operate the crown or any buttons while the watch is wet or submerged, as this can compromise the water resistance.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning Your Watch

  • Wipe the watch case and crystal with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • For stubborn dirt, dampen the cloth slightly with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • If the watch has been exposed to saltwater, rinse it gently with fresh water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Strap Care

The canvas strap can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Allow it to air dry completely before wearing. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, which can degrade the strap material.

Storage

When not in use, store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. The original watch box is ideal for storage.

Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a quartz movement and requires a battery. When the battery runs low, the second hand may start to jump every few seconds (End-of-Life indicator). Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watchmaker or authorized service center to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
