Product Overview
The Strongway 20-Ton Air/Hydraulic Bottle Jack is designed for lifting heavy loads with both air and manual hydraulic operation. It features a 20-ton maximum lift capacity, a 1/4-inch quick-connect for air supply, a built-in bypass device, and self-returning springs for efficient operation.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the jack from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
- Purging Air: Before first use, or if the jack has been stored for a long time, purge any air from the hydraulic system.
- Turn the release valve counter-clockwise to open it.
- Pump the handle several times to remove air.
- Turn the release valve clockwise to close it.
- Air Line Connection (for air operation): Connect a 1/4-inch air hose to the quick-connect fitting on the jack. Ensure your air compressor can supply 100-120 PSI.
- Positioning: Place the jack on a hard, level surface directly under the lifting point of the load. Ensure the saddle is centered.
Operating Instructions
Lifting the Load (Hydraulic Operation)
- Ensure the release valve is fully closed by turning it clockwise.
- Insert the handle into the handle socket.
- Pump the handle up and down to raise the jack ram and lift the load.
- Once the desired height is reached, immediately place appropriately rated jack stands under the load.

Lifting the Load (Air Operation)
- Ensure the release valve is fully closed by turning it clockwise.
- Connect the air hose to the quick-connect fitting.
- Activate the air control valve on the jack to begin lifting.
- Once the desired height is reached, immediately place appropriately rated jack stands under the load.
- Turn off the air control valve.

Lowering the Load
- Ensure the area around the load is clear.
- If using jack stands, lift the load slightly off the jack stands. Remove the jack stands.
- Slowly turn the release valve counter-clockwise to lower the load. Do not open the valve too quickly, as this can cause the load to drop rapidly.
- Once the load is fully lowered, remove the jack.
Maintenance
- Lubrication: Periodically lubricate moving parts with light machine oil.
- Hydraulic Fluid: Check the hydraulic fluid level regularly. To check, lower the ram completely, remove the oil filler plug, and ensure the fluid is level with the bottom of the filler hole. Use only high-quality hydraulic jack oil. Do not use brake fluid or motor oil.
- Cleaning: Keep the jack clean and free of dirt, grease, and corrosive materials.
- Storage: Store the jack in a dry, protected area with the ram fully retracted.
- Inspection: Before each use, inspect the jack for any signs of damage, leaks, or loose parts. Do not use if any issues are found.
Troubleshooting
