4. Setup
Follow these steps to prepare your steam generator iron for first use.
- Unpack the Appliance: Remove all packaging materials and ensure all parts are present.
- Place the Appliance: Position the steam generator base on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface.
- Fill the Water Tank:
- Remove the removable water tank from the base.
- Fill the tank with tap water up to the 'MAX' indication. For prolonged appliance life, especially in areas with hard water, consider using demineralized water.
- Place the filled water tank back into the base until it clicks into place.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded wall socket.
- First Use (Priming): The first time you use the appliance, it may take up to 30 seconds for steam to be generated. This is normal as the pump needs to be primed. Hold the steam trigger until continuous steam is emitted.
5. Operating Instructions

5.1 OptimalTEMP Technology
This iron features OptimalTEMP technology, which means you do not need to adjust the temperature setting. It is safe for all ironable fabrics, from denim to silk, without the risk of burning. You can leave the hot soleplate directly on the ironing board cover without causing damage.

5.2 Ironing with Steam
- Press the on/off button to turn on the steam generator. The blue 'iron ready' light will flash and then stay on when the iron is ready to use (approximately 2 minutes).
- To generate continuous steam, press and hold the steam trigger located under the handle of the iron.
- For stubborn creases, use the powerful steam boost function. Quickly press the steam trigger twice to activate a burst of steam up to 520 g.

5.3 Vertical Steaming
The powerful steam output also allows for vertical steaming of hanging garments, curtains, or delicate fabrics. Hold the iron vertically, about 10-15 cm from the fabric, and press the steam trigger.
5.4 Refilling the Water Tank During Use
If the water tank runs empty, the 'water tank empty' indicator light will illuminate. You can refill the removable water tank at any time without turning off the appliance. Simply remove the tank, fill it with water, and reinsert it.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your appliance.
6.1 Descaling (Easy De-Calc System)
The appliance is equipped with an Easy De-Calc system to remove limescale buildup. The 'De-Calc' light will flash and the appliance will beep when descaling is required (approximately every 1 to 3 months, depending on water hardness and usage).
- Ensure the appliance is unplugged and has cooled down completely (at least 2 hours).
- Place the steam generator on the edge of a table or sink.
- Place a cup (at least 350 ml) under the Easy De-Calc knob.
- Turn the Easy De-Calc knob counter-clockwise to remove it.
- Allow the water and scale particles to drain into the cup.
- Once the water stops flowing, reinsert the Easy De-Calc knob and turn it clockwise to fasten it.
Caution: Do not open the Easy De-Calc knob when the appliance is hot or under pressure.
6.2 Cleaning the Soleplate
To clean the soleplate, use a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning pads, as these can damage the soleplate coating.
6.3 Storage
After use, turn off the appliance and unplug it. Allow the iron to cool down completely. Secure the iron to the base using the transport lock. Wrap the steam hose and power cord around the base for tidy storage.
