2. Setup and Assembly

Before operating your TEANDE TE3500 Electric Pressure Washer, ensure all components are properly assembled and connected. The unit is designed for straightforward setup.

2.1 Unpacking and Inspection

  • Carefully remove all contents from the packaging.
  • Inspect the unit for any signs of damage during shipping. Do not operate if damaged.
  • Verify all parts listed in the packing list are present.

2.2 Component Assembly

  1. Attach Wheels: Securely attach the two large wheels to the designated axle points at the base of the unit. Ensure they are firmly in place for easy transport.
  2. Install Handle: Insert the telescopic aluminum handle into its slot at the top of the unit. Adjust the handle to a comfortable height and secure it.
  3. Connect High-Pressure Hose: Connect one end of the high-pressure hose (approximately 20 feet long) to the high-pressure outlet on the front of the pressure washer. Connect the other end to the spray gun. Ensure connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  4. Connect Water Supply: Attach a standard garden hose (not included) to the water inlet connection on the pressure washer. Ensure the garden hose is free of kinks and has a steady water supply.
  5. Fill Detergent Tank (Optional): If using detergent, fill the integrated 350ml foam cannon/detergent tank with an appropriate pressure washer-safe cleaning solution.
  6. Connect Power Cord: Plug the 35-foot power cord with GFCI plug into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) is functioning correctly before use.

3. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your pressure washer.

3.1 Before Starting

  • Ensure all connections (water, hose, power) are secure.
  • Turn on the water supply completely to the pressure washer.
  • Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to purge air from the pump and hose until a steady stream of water emerges. This prevents air pockets from damaging the pump.

3.2 Powering On and Operation

  1. Power On: Turn the power switch on the pressure washer to the "ON" position. The motor will start.
  2. Adjust Nozzle: The integrated nozzle allows for easy adjustment of the spray pattern. Twist the nozzle to change the spray from a narrow, high-pressure stream to a wider, lower-pressure fan spray.
  3. Apply Pressure: Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to begin spraying. The Total Stop System (TSS) will automatically shut off the pump when the trigger is released and restart it when the trigger is squeezed again.
  4. Using the Foam Cannon: If using detergent, ensure the foam cannon is filled. The pressure washer will draw detergent automatically when the appropriate nozzle setting is selected or when the foam cannon is engaged. Apply detergent to the surface, allow it to dwell as per detergent instructions, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  5. Cleaning Technique: Always start spraying from a distance of several feet and gradually move closer to the surface to avoid damage, especially on delicate materials. Use sweeping motions to ensure even cleaning.

3.3 Powering Off

  1. Release the spray gun trigger.
  2. Turn the power switch on the pressure washer to the "OFF" position.
  3. Turn off the water supply to the pressure washer.
  4. Squeeze the spray gun trigger to release any remaining pressure in the system. This is crucial for safety and to prevent damage to the pump.
  5. Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your TEANDE TE3500 Electric Pressure Washer.

4.1 After Each Use

  • Rinse Detergent Tank: If detergent was used, rinse the foam cannon/detergent tank thoroughly with clean water to prevent residue buildup.
  • Clean Nozzle: Check the nozzle for any clogs or debris. Use a small pin or the included nozzle cleaning tool to clear any blockages.
  • Drain Water: Ensure all water is drained from the pump, hoses, and spray gun to prevent freezing damage in cold weather.
  • Wipe Down Unit: Clean the exterior of the pressure washer with a damp cloth to remove dirt and grime.

4.2 Storage

  • Store the pressure washer in a dry, frost-free environment.
  • Coil the high-pressure hose and power cord neatly. The unit has integrated storage for the hose and spray gun.
  • For extended storage, especially in cold climates, consider using a pump protector or non-toxic antifreeze solution to prevent internal damage from freezing.
