Setup and Installation

1. Identify Battery Compartment: Locate the battery compartment on your Canon VIXIA HF R30, R32, R40, or R42 HD Camcorder. Refer to your camcorder's manual if unsure.
2. Open Compartment: Gently open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert Battery: Align the battery's contacts with the terminals inside the camcorder's battery compartment. Ensure the battery is oriented correctly (usually indicated by arrows or shapes).
4. Secure Battery: Push the battery firmly until it clicks into place or is securely seated.
5. Close Compartment: Close the battery compartment cover until it latches securely.

Operation

Charging the Battery

The Surpassed BP-727 battery is a rechargeable Li-ion battery. It can be charged using a compatible Canon charger or a third-party charger designed for BP-727 batteries.

1. Connect Charger: Plug the charger into a power outlet.
2. Insert Battery: Place the battery into the charger, ensuring proper alignment of the contacts.
3. Monitor Charging: The charger's indicator light will typically show the charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
4. Remove When Charged: Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.

Note: Avoid overcharging. While Li-ion batteries have protection circuits, prolonged charging after full capacity can reduce battery lifespan over time.

Using the Battery

Care and Maintenance
