Setup and Installation
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the SV154 eyepiece from its packaging. Ensure all components, including the eyepiece, protective caps, and cleaning cloth, are present.
- Inserting into Focuser: Loosen the thumbscrew on your telescope's 2-inch focuser. Gently slide the chrome barrel of the SV154 eyepiece into the focuser until it is fully seated. Tighten the thumbscrew to secure the eyepiece in place.
- Attaching Filters (Optional): If you wish to use a 2-inch astronomical filter, carefully thread it onto the M48x0.75 filter thread at the bottom of the eyepiece barrel before inserting the eyepiece into the focuser.

Operating Instructions
- Adjusting the Eyecup: The SV154 features a foldable rubber eyecup. For non-eyeglass wearers, extend the eyecup to block stray light. If you wear eyeglasses, fold down the eyecup to allow your eye to get closer to the lens, utilizing the full 20mm eye relief.
- Focusing: Once the eyepiece is installed, use your telescope's focuser knobs to achieve a sharp image. Start with a low-power eyepiece (if available) to locate your target, then switch to the SV154 for detailed observation.
- Observing: The 70° apparent field of view provides a wide, immersive window to the cosmos. Take your time to scan the field and appreciate the details of lunar craters, planetary features, or the intricate structures of nebulae and star clusters.

Maintenance
- Cleaning Lenses: Use the provided cleaning cloth or a specialized optical cleaning kit. Gently brush away any dust particles with a soft brush or blower. For smudges, apply a small amount of optical cleaning fluid to a clean microfiber cloth and wipe the lens surface in a circular motion. Avoid touching the lens surfaces with bare fingers.
- Storage: Always replace the protective caps on both ends of the eyepiece when not in use. Store the eyepiece in a clean, dry environment, preferably in its original box or a padded case, to protect it from dust, moisture, and impacts.
- General Care: Avoid exposing the eyepiece to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Do not attempt to disassemble the eyepiece, as this will void the warranty and may damage the optical components.

Troubleshooting
- Blurry Image: Ensure your telescope is properly focused. Check if the eyepiece is fully seated and secured in the focuser. Verify that the telescope's optics are clean and collimated (if applicable).
- Dark or Dim Image: Ensure your telescope's objective lens or mirror is uncovered. Check for any dew or condensation on the eyepiece or telescope optics. If using filters, ensure they are clean and appropriate for the observation.
- Internal Reflections/Glare: Ensure the rubber eyecup is properly extended (if not wearing glasses) to block ambient light. Observe from a dark location away from light pollution.
- Eyepiece Not Fitting: Confirm your telescope has a 2-inch focuser. The SV154 is designed for 2-inch focusers only.
