Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Reverie RC-WM-103 Replacement Remote Control for adjustable bed bases. This remote is designed as an exact OEM replacement for Reverie 5i, 5D, 7S, R400, or 4M adjustable bed bases. Please review this manual thoroughly to ensure proper functionality and compatibility.
Important: Ensure your original remote matches the appearance of this remote exactly, including the logo, for guaranteed compatibility. This remote is not compatible with old Tempurpedic bases, even if buttons appear similar.
Safety Information
- Keep the remote control away from water and excessive moisture.
- Do not expose the remote to extreme temperatures.
- Avoid dropping the remote or subjecting it to strong impacts.
- Keep batteries out of reach of children.
- Dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
Setup
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove the remote control from its packaging. Inspect for any visible damage. If damage is present, contact your retailer.
2. Battery Installation
The remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included). To install:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote.
- Slide the cover off in the direction indicated by the arrow.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as marked inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover until it clicks securely into place.
3. Pairing/Syncing the Remote Control
To establish communication between your new remote and the adjustable bed base, follow these pairing instructions:
- Ensure the bed base is plugged into a working power outlet.
- Locate the control box under your adjustable bed base. This box typically has a small button, often labeled "PAIR," "LEARN," or "SYNC." It might be recessed and require a pen tip to press.
- Press and hold the pairing button on the control box for approximately 3 seconds. The indicator light on the control box should begin to flash.
- Immediately after the light starts flashing, press and hold any button on your new remote control (e.g., "HEAD UP" or "FLAT") for 3-5 seconds.
- Release the button on the remote. The indicator light on the control box should stop flashing, indicating successful pairing.
- Test the remote by pressing various function buttons to ensure the bed base responds correctly.
Note: If pairing is unsuccessful, repeat the steps. Some older bed bases may require pressing the pairing button on the control box with a pen tip.
