2. Safety Information

  • Always disconnect the power supply from the wall outlet before installing or removing any components.
  • Handle all components with care to avoid damage.
  • Wear an anti-static wrist strap when handling sensitive electronic components to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD).
  • Keep small parts and screws away from children.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the PC case to prevent overheating.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all items are present in the package:

  • Ocelot Gaming OGEC02 PC Case

  • User Manual (this document)

Note: Fans and power supply unit (PSU) are not included with this PC case.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Preparing the Case

  1. Place the case on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Locate and remove the thumbscrews securing the tempered glass side panel. Carefully slide the panel off and set it aside on a soft, non-abrasive surface to prevent scratches.
  3. Remove the rear metal side panel by unscrewing its thumbscrews and sliding it off.

4.3. Motherboard Installation

The OGEC02 supports ATX, Micro ATX, and Mini ITX motherboards.

  1. Install the necessary motherboard standoffs into the motherboard tray. The case typically comes with pre-installed standoffs for ATX. Adjust as needed for Micro ATX or Mini ITX.
  2. Install your motherboard's I/O shield into the rear opening of the case.
  3. Carefully place your motherboard onto the standoffs, aligning the screw holes.
  4. Secure the motherboard with the provided screws. Do not overtighten.

4.4. Storage Device Installation

The case supports 2x 3.5" HDDs and 2x 2.5" SSDs.

  • 3.5" HDD Installation: Locate the HDD drive cage, typically near the PSU shroud. Slide the HDD into the bay and secure it with screws.
  • 2.5" SSD Installation: SSDs can be mounted on dedicated brackets behind the motherboard tray or on top of the PSU shroud. Secure them with screws.

4.5. Graphics Card (GPU) Installation

The OGEC02 supports graphics cards up to 320mm in length.

  1. Remove the necessary expansion slot covers from the rear of the case, corresponding to your GPU's size.
  2. Insert the GPU into the PCIe slot on your motherboard until it clicks into place.
  3. Secure the GPU to the case with screws.

4.6. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation

The PSU mounts at the rear bottom of the case.

  1. Slide the PSU into its designated compartment from the rear of the case.
  2. Align the screw holes and secure the PSU with screws from the outside of the case.

4.7. Cooling System Installation

The case supports up to 8x 120mm fans and liquid cooling radiators (up to 240mm).

  • Fan Installation: Mount 120mm fans to the designated locations (front, top, rear, bottom) using fan screws. Ensure correct airflow direction.
  • Liquid Cooling Installation: Install a 240mm radiator at the front or top of the case, securing it with screws.

4.8. Cable Management

Utilize the cable routing cutouts and tie-down points behind the motherboard tray to organize cables. This improves airflow and aesthetics.

4.9. Front Panel Connections

Connect the front panel cables (USB, audio, power, reset) to the corresponding headers on your motherboard. Refer to your motherboard manual for specific header locations.

4.10. Final Assembly

Once all components are installed and cables are managed, reattach the rear metal side panel and then the tempered glass side panel, securing them with their respective thumbscrews.

5. Operating the PC Case

After completing the assembly and connecting all external peripherals (monitor, keyboard, mouse, power cable), press the power button on the front panel to turn on your computer. The reset button can be used to restart the system if needed.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Dust Filter Cleaning

The OGEC02 features a magnetic dust filter on the top panel. Regularly remove and clean this filter to maintain optimal airflow and prevent dust buildup inside the case. Simply detach the filter, clean it with water or a soft brush, and reattach once dry.

6.2. General Cleaning

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior surfaces of the case. For the tempered glass panel, use a glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth to avoid streaks. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.

7. Troubleshooting

  • PC does not power on: Ensure all power cables (PSU to wall, PSU to motherboard, PSU to components) are securely connected. Verify the front panel power button cable is correctly connected to the motherboard.
  • No display: Check that the graphics card is properly seated and connected to power, and that the monitor cable is connected to the GPU (not the motherboard's integrated graphics port, unless using integrated graphics).
  • Excessive noise: Check all fans (CPU, GPU, case fans) for obstructions or loose mounting. Ensure cables are not interfering with fan blades.
  • Overheating: Verify that all fans are spinning and oriented correctly for optimal airflow. Ensure dust filters are clean and there is adequate space around the case for ventilation.
