The JBL TWS-4 earphones consist of two independent earbuds and a portable charging case. Each earbud features a multi-function button and an LED indicator. The charging case has a charging port and LED indicators to show battery status.

Setup

1. Charging the Earphones and Case

Before first use, fully charge the earphones and the charging case.

• Connect the USB charging cable to the charging port on the case and to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
• The LED indicators on the case will show charging progress. Once fully charged, the indicators will typically turn solid or turn off.
• Place the earbuds into the charging case. Ensure they are correctly seated; the earbuds' LEDs will indicate charging status (usually red while charging, off when full).

2. Pairing with Your Device

The TWS-4 earphones automatically enter pairing mode when taken out of the charging case.

• Ensure the earphones are charged.
• Open the charging case and remove both earbuds. They will automatically power on and attempt to pair with each other.
• On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth.
• Search for available Bluetooth devices. You should see "TWS-4" or "JBL TWS-4" in the list.
• Select "TWS-4" to connect. Once connected, a voice prompt will confirm the connection, and the earbud LEDs will typically stop flashing or turn off.
• If pairing fails, place the earbuds back into the case, close it, wait a few seconds, and then repeat the steps.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

• Power On: Remove earbuds from the charging case. They will power on automatically. Alternatively, press and hold the multi-function button on each earbud for a few seconds.
• Power Off: Place earbuds back into the charging case. They will power off automatically. Alternatively, press and hold the multi-function button on each earbud for several seconds until the LED turns red and then off.

Music Playback

• Play/Pause: Single press the multi-function button on either earbud.
• Next Track: Double press the multi-function button on the right earbud.
• Previous Track: Double press the multi-function button on the left earbud.

Call Management

• Answer/End Call: Single press the multi-function button on either earbud.
• Reject Call: Press and hold the multi-function button on either earbud for 2 seconds.
