1. Introduction
This eOUTIL Digital Level Angle Finder (Model DL1903) is a versatile 3-in-1 device, combining the functions of a protractor, angle finder, and level. It is designed for precise angle measurement in various applications, including woodworking, welding, and construction. 2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
The eOUTIL Digital Level Angle Finder requires two AAA batteries (not included) for operation.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Use a small screwdriver (often included) to open the battery compartment.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Securely close the battery compartment cover.

2.2 Powering On/Off
Press the Power button (usually marked with a power symbol) to turn the device on or off.
3. Operation
3.1 Basic Measurement
Place the device on the surface you wish to measure. The angle will be displayed on the LCD screen. The display value automatically inverts when the electronic level is upside down for easier reading.

3.2 Absolute and Relative Measurement Modes
This digital protractor offers two measurement modes:
- Absolute Angle Measurement: Used to test if a surface is level (0°) or to verify specific slopes, such as roof pitches or wheel alignment.
- Relative Angle Measurement: Allows you to measure the angle between two surfaces. Press the ZERO button on a reference surface to set it as 0°, then move the device to the second surface to measure the relative angle.
Press the ZERO button to switch between absolute and relative modes or to zero out the current reading.

3.3 Unit Selection
The device can display angle readings in various units:
- Degrees (°)
- IN/FT (inches per foot)
- mm/M (millimeters per meter)
- Percentage of slope (%)
Press the MODE button to cycle through the available measurement units.
3.4 Hold Function
To freeze the current reading on the display, press the HOLD button. This is useful for recording measurements in difficult-to-view positions. Press HOLD again to release the reading.
3.5 Backlit LCD and Audio Indicator
The large, bright LCD screen is backlit, allowing for easy reading in various light conditions. The device also features an acoustic signal (beeps) that indicates when the measurement reaches 0° or 90°, providing an audible cue for level or plumb positions.
3.6 V-Groove Magnetic Base
The integrated V-groove magnetic base allows the device to be firmly attached to ferrous metal surfaces. This feature is particularly useful for hands-free operation on pipes, steel construction frames, and during metal fabrication tasks.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
To clean the device, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the display or casing.
4.2 Storage
When not in use, store the device in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
4.3 IP65 Rating
The eOUTIL Digital Level Angle Finder has an IP65 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for use in challenging environmental conditions, including those with water splashes and dust. However, it is not designed for immersion in water.

5. Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on: Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the right polarity. Replace batteries if they are depleted.
- Inaccurate readings: Ensure the measurement surface is clean and free of debris. If readings are consistently inaccurate, especially when rotated 180 degrees, the device may require calibration. Refer to the manufacturer's specific calibration instructions, which may be provided in a separate document or on their website.
- Display is dim or flickering: Replace the batteries.
- Display shows 'Err' or other error codes: Turn the device off and then on again. If the error persists, contact customer support.
