Care and Maintenance
Proper care ensures the longevity and performance of your kettle.
- Cleaning the Exterior: Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Cleaning the Interior: For general cleaning, rinse the interior with water. For stubborn stains, use a soft brush or sponge with mild dish soap. Rinse thoroughly.
- Descaling: Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up over time, especially in hard water areas. To descale:
- Fill the kettle with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and let it stand for 30 minutes.
- Discard the mixture and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times.
- For heavy buildup, repeat the process or use a commercial descaling solution following its instructions.
- Filter Cleaning: The stainless steel filter can be removed for cleaning. Rinse it under running water and gently brush away any deposits. Reinsert securely.
