1. Important Safety Information

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  • Read all instructions thoroughly before operating the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the main unit in water or other liquid.

  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • This pressure cooker operates under pressure. Improper use may result in scalding injury. Ensure unit is properly closed before operating.
  • Never force open the pressure cooker. Ensure pressure has been completely released before opening.
  • Do not fill the unit over 2/3 full. When cooking foods that expand during cooking, such as rice or dried vegetables, do not fill the unit over 1/2 full.

3. Parts and Features

4. Setup and First Use

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and accessories from the box.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the inner pot, lid, and sealing ring with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry all parts completely. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  3. Placement: Place the pressure cooker on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from heat sources and flammable materials. Ensure adequate space around the unit for ventilation.
  4. Condensation Collector: Attach the condensation collector to the back of the cooker.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

General Operation:

  1. Add Ingredients: Place the inner pot into the main unit. Add your ingredients and the required amount of liquid according to your recipe.
  2. Close Lid: Place the lid on the cooker, aligning the arrow on the lid with the arrow on the base. Rotate the lid clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure the pressure release valve is in the "Sealing" position.
  3. Select Function: Press the desired preset button (e.g., "Rice", "Meat", "Soup"). The display will show a default cooking time.
  4. Adjust Time (Optional): If needed, use the "+/-" buttons to adjust the cooking time within the allowed range for the selected preset.
  5. Start Cooking: The cooker will automatically begin the pre-heating phase. Once sufficient pressure is built, the cooking timer will begin to count down.
  6. Pressure Release: Once cooking is complete, the cooker will beep and may switch to "Keep Warm" mode. To release pressure, carefully turn the pressure release valve to the "Venting" position. Always use a utensil to avoid direct contact with steam. Wait until the float valve drops down before attempting to open the lid.
  7. Open Lid: Once pressure is fully released, rotate the lid counter-clockwise and lift it away from you to avoid steam.

Specific Cooking Modes:

  • Pressure Cooking: Utilizes high pressure to cook food quickly. Select a preset button for specific food types.
  • Slow Cooking: Press the "Slow Cooker" button. Adjust time using "+/-" buttons. This mode does not build pressure.
  • Keep Warm: Automatically activates after most cooking programs. Can also be manually selected by pressing "Warm/Cancel" after cooking is complete.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your pressure cooker.

  • Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Inner Pot: The non-stick inner pot is dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  • Lid: Wash the lid, including the sealing ring and pressure release valve, with warm, soapy water. Ensure all food particles are removed from the sealing ring and float valve mechanism. The sealing ring can be removed for thorough cleaning. Dry completely before reassembling.
  • Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
  • Condensation Collector: Empty and clean the condensation collector after each use.
  • Storage: Store the pressure cooker in a dry place. You may store the lid inverted on the inner pot to prevent odors.
