Drug Interactions

Do not take Sumatriptan with any of the following medications:

  • Certain medications for migraine headache: Such as almotriptan, eletriptan, frovatriptan, naratriptan, rizatriptan, other sumatriptan products, zolmitriptan.
  • Ergot alkaloids: Such as dihydroergotamine, ergonovine, ergotamine, methylergonovine.
  • MAOIs (Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors): Such as Carbex, Eldepryl, Marplan, Nardil, and Parnate.
