2. Setup

2.1 Loading Labels

The price gun arrives with a label roll pre-loaded. When replacing labels, follow these steps:

  1. Open the label compartment by gently pulling the release latch.
  2. Remove the empty label roll core.
  3. Insert a new roll of labels, ensuring the labels feed from the bottom of the roll.
  4. Thread the first few labels through the feed mechanism until they emerge from the front slot.
  5. Close the label compartment securely.

2.2 Installing/Replacing Ink Roller

The kit includes an extra ink roller. Replace the ink roller when prints become faint or unclear.

  1. Locate the ink roller compartment, usually near the print head.
  2. Gently remove the old ink roller by pinching its sides or using the designated release mechanism.
  3. Unpack the new ink roller and insert it into the compartment, ensuring it clicks into place.
  4. Perform a few test prints to ensure proper ink distribution.

3. Operating the Price Gun

3.1 Setting Characters

The Perco X 1 Line Price Gun features 8 character bands for customization. To set your desired price or code:

  1. Locate the adjustment knobs on the side of the price gun.
  2. Rotate each knob to select the desired character (numbers, currency symbols, or special characters) for each position on the label.
  3. Ensure all characters are aligned and clearly visible in the display window before printing.

3.2 Applying Labels

Once the characters are set and labels are loaded:

  1. Position the price gun over the item where the label is to be applied.
  2. Squeeze the trigger handle firmly and completely. This action prints the characters onto the label and dispenses it.
  3. Release the trigger. The printed label will be ready for application.
  4. Press the label onto the desired surface.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain optimal performance:

  • Periodically wipe the exterior of the price gun with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Ensure the print head area is free from label residue or dust to prevent unclear prints. Use a soft brush if necessary.

4.2 Ink Roller Replacement

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Perco X Price Gun, consider the following:

  • Labels Not Feeding: Ensure the label roll is correctly inserted and threaded through the feed mechanism. Check for any jams or obstructions.
