1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of your new power supply. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product and retain it for future reference.

This 9V 500mA regulated power supply is designed to provide clean, noise-free power for musical equipment, specifically compatible with the AMMOON AMERICAN SOUND AMP SIMULATOR PEDAL. It features a centre-negative polarity, a 2-meter thick cable, and a spring-mounted tip for a secure connection.

2. Safety Information

  • Ensure the power supply's voltage and current ratings match the requirements of your device before connecting. This power supply is 9V DC, 500mA, centre-negative.
  • Do not expose the power supply to water, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
  • Do not attempt to open or modify the power supply. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
  • Unplug the power supply from the wall outlet when not in use for extended periods.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Use only with compatible devices. Incorrect polarity or voltage can damage your equipment.

3. Product Overview

4. Setup

  1. Verify Compatibility: Before connecting, ensure your musical equipment (e.g., AMMOON AMERICAN SOUND AMP SIMULATOR PEDAL) requires a 9V DC power input with centre-negative polarity and a current draw of 500mA or less.
  2. Connect to Device: Insert the DC barrel connector of the power supply cable firmly into the power input jack of your musical equipment. The spring-mounted tip ensures a secure connection.
  3. Connect to Power Outlet: Plug the UK plug of the power supply into a standard 230V AC wall outlet.
  4. Power On: Your device should now receive power. Follow your device's instructions to power it on.

5. Operating Instructions

Once connected, the power supply operates automatically, providing a stable 9V DC output. It is designed for continuous operation within its specified limits.

  • The power supply is filtered to ensure zero hum and noise-free operation, crucial for sensitive audio equipment.
  • Always ensure the cable is not kinked or placed under heavy objects to prevent damage.
  • Disconnect the power supply from the wall outlet before disconnecting it from your device, especially if the device does not have its own power switch.

6. Maintenance

This power supply requires minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure its longevity:

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the power supply from the wall outlet and your device before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the power supply in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid tightly coiling the cable.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the cable and connectors for any signs of damage, fraying, or loose connections. If damage is observed, discontinue use immediately.

7. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Device not powering on.
  • Power supply not plugged in.
  • Wall outlet not active.
  • Incorrect voltage/polarity for device.
  • Damaged power supply or cable.
  • Device malfunction.
  • Ensure power supply is fully plugged into wall outlet.
  • Test wall outlet with another device.
  • Verify device requirements (9V DC, centre-negative).
  • Inspect cable for damage. If damaged, replace.
  • Test device with another known-good power supply.
Humming or noise from audio equipment.
  • Ground loop issue.
  • Interference from other electronics.
  • Faulty power supply (unlikely with filtered design).
  • Ensure all audio equipment is on the same electrical circuit.
  • Move power supply away from other electronic devices.
  • Test with another power supply to isolate the issue.
