Setup
1. Connecting the Handset:
Connect one end of the coiled handset cord into the jack on the side of the telephone base and the other end into the jack on the handset.
2. Connecting to the Telephone Line:
Plug one end of the provided line cord into the "LINE" jack on the back of the telephone base. Plug the other end into a standard telephone wall jack (RJ11).
3. Desk or Wall Mounting:
- Desk Mount: Place the phone on a flat, stable surface.
- Wall Mount: The phone is designed with keyhole slots on the back for wall mounting. Secure two screws (not included) into the wall, spaced appropriately for the keyhole slots, and hang the phone. Ensure the handset cradle is reversed to securely hold the handset when wall-mounted.
Operating Instructions
Making a Call:
- Lift the handset or press the SP-PHONE button to activate the speakerphone.
- Listen for a dial tone.
- Dial the desired telephone number using the large numeric buttons.
- If using the speakerphone, press SP-PHONE again to end the call. If using the handset, replace the handset in the cradle.
Answering a Call:
When the phone rings and the LED ringer light flashes:
- Lift the handset to answer the call.
- Alternatively, press the SP-PHONE button to answer the call using the speakerphone.
Adjusting Volume:
- Speaker Volume: Use the HI/LO switch located on the side or back of the phone to adjust the speakerphone volume.
- Ringer Volume: Use the HI/LO switch for the ringer, also located on the side or back of the phone, to adjust the ringing volume. There is also an On/Off ringer switch.
Using Special Functions:
- Redial: Press the REDIAL button to automatically dial the last number called.
- Flash: Press the FLASH button to access call waiting or transfer calls (requires service from your telephone provider).
- Hold: Press the HOLD button to put a call on hold. Press it again or lift the handset to resume the call.
- Memory Dialing (10 Two-Touch Memory):
- To Store a Number:
- Lift the handset or press SP-PHONE.
- Press STORE.
- Dial the phone number you wish to store.
- Press STORE again.
- Press the memory location button (0-9) where you want to save the number.
- To Dial a Stored Number:
- Lift the handset or press SP-PHONE.
- Press AUTO.
- Press the memory location button (0-9) where the number is stored. The phone will automatically dial the number.
