1. Product Overview

The robust aluminum body ensures optimal heat dissipation and corrosion resistance, while the impact-resistant polycarbonate lens offers durability. It is IP69K rated, providing waterproof protection up to 3 feet for 30 minutes.

3. Installation Instructions

This LED light pod is designed for easy installation on a wide range of vehicles, including trucks, cars, boats, SUVs, UTVs, ATVs, snowmobiles, motorcycles, dirt bikes, and 4x4 vehicles. For optimal results, consider using a SYLVANIA wiring harness kit (sold separately).

3.1 Mounting the Light Pod

1. Select Mounting Location: Choose a suitable location on your vehicle for the light pod. Ensure the location provides clear light projection and does not obstruct other vehicle functions or lights.
2. Position Bracket: Attach the universal stainless steel mounting bracket to the light pod using the provided hardware. Do not fully tighten yet.
3. Secure to Vehicle: Position the light pod with the attached bracket onto the desired mounting surface on your vehicle. Mark the drilling points if necessary.
4. Drill Holes (if required): If mounting to a surface without existing holes, carefully drill pilot holes appropriate for the mounting hardware.
5. Fasten Securely: Use the provided bolts, nuts, and washers to securely fasten the light pod to the vehicle. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent vibration and movement.
6. Adjust Angle: Adjust the angle of the light pod to achieve the desired beam direction. Once set, fully tighten all mounting hardware.

3.2 Wiring the Light Pod

For wiring, it is highly recommended to use a dedicated wiring harness (sold separately) to ensure proper power delivery and protection. If not using a harness, ensure appropriate gauge wiring, fuses, and relays are used to prevent electrical issues.

1. Disconnect Power: Before starting any wiring, disconnect the vehicle's battery to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Connect Wiring: Connect the positive wire from the light pod to the positive terminal of your power source (e.g., battery via a relay and fuse). Connect the negative wire to a suitable ground point on the vehicle chassis.
3. Install Switch: If using a switch, integrate it into the positive power line according to the switch manufacturer's instructions.
4. Secure Wiring: Route all wiring safely, away from moving parts, hot surfaces, and sharp edges. Use zip ties or cable clamps to secure the wiring.
5. Reconnect Power: Once all wiring is complete and secured, reconnect the vehicle's battery.
6. Test Functionality: Turn on the light pod to ensure it functions correctly.
