1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Yeacomm 4G LTE CPE Router. This device is designed to provide reliable wireless and wired internet access for home and office environments by utilizing a 4G LTE SIM card.

4. Setup Guide

4.1. Hardware Installation

  1. Insert SIM Card: Ensure your SIM card is activated and supports hotspot services. The router requires a standard SIM card (15x25mm). Micro and Nano SIM cards are not directly supported without an adapter.

  2. Connect Antennas: Screw the two external 4G cellular antennas firmly into the SMA ports on the back of the router.

  3. Plug in Power Cable: Connect the provided power adapter to the router's power input port and then to a power outlet.
  4. Wait for Indicators: Allow a few moments for the router to power on and initialize. Observe the LED indicators on the front panel. The "SIG" (signal) and "4G/LTE" indicators should light up, indicating a successful connection to the cellular network.

4.2. Initial Configuration (Web Interface)

To access the router's web management interface for advanced settings:

  1. Connect to Router: Connect your computer to the router via an Ethernet cable (RJ45 port) or wirelessly using the Wi-Fi SSID and password printed on the router's label.
  2. Access Web Interface: Open a web browser and enter the default IP address 192.168.0.1 in the address bar.
  3. Login: Enter the default username root and password admin (or as specified on the router's label) to log in.
  4. Configure APN Settings: Navigate to Device Settings > Internet Settings > APN. Click "Add New" to set the correct APN for your SIM card's carrier. You can find the APN information on your carrier's official website or by searching online. Apply the settings.
  5. Network Selection: In Device Settings > Internet Settings > Network Selection, you can choose "Automatic" or specify "4G Only", "3G Only", etc., based on your preference and network availability.
  6. Band Locking (Optional): For advanced users, the router supports band locking. Navigate to Device Settings > Advanced Settings > Frequency. Here you can enable/disable specific frequency bands. Your settings will take effect after restarting the device.

5. Operating the Router

5.1. Wi-Fi Connectivity

Once the router is set up and connected to the cellular network, you can connect your devices (smartphones, laptops, tablets) to its Wi-Fi network. The default Wi-Fi SSID and password are provided on a sticker on the router.

5.2. Wired Connectivity

Use the RJ45 LAN ports on the back of the router to connect devices such as desktop computers, smart TVs, or gaming consoles via Ethernet cables for a stable wired connection.

5.3. Voice Calling (RJ11 Ports)

The router includes two RJ11 ports for voice calling functionality. You can connect a standard analog telephone to these ports. This feature is supported when using SIM cards from carriers like T-Mobile. The voice function may not work with Verizon's SIM cards.

To enable/configure voice settings, navigate to Device Settings > Voice Settings in the web interface.

5.4. Data Management

The web interface allows you to monitor and manage your data usage. Navigate to Device Settings > Statistics Settings to view data usage statistics and set data plans or alerts.

If you encounter issues with your Yeacomm 4G LTE CPE Router, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
