2. Setup Guide

2.1 Charging the Feeder

Before first use, fully charge the feeder using the provided USB cable. The battery capacity is 700mAh and typically takes 3-4 hours to fully charge. A full charge can last for 3-6 months depending on usage frequency.

2.2 Installation Methods

The Lukovee Automatic Fish Feeder offers two primary installation methods to suit various tank types:

1. Plane Fixing Method (for tank covers): Use the included double-sided sticker to fix the feeder on the flat surface of your tank cover. Ensure the feeder is positioned directly over the water level and cannot fall into the water.
2. Vertical Fixing Method (for open fish tanks): Attach the fixing bracket to the main body and rotate the screw knob tightly to secure it to the tank glass. This method is suitable for glass thickness ranging from 0 to 24 mm (0.94 inch). The feeder can be rotated 360 degrees for optimal positioning.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Setting the Clock

To set the current time (Hour:Minute) on the feeder's display:

1. Long press the Setting Button (gear icon) for 3 seconds until the hour/minute numbers flash.
2. Use the "▲" or "▼" buttons to adjust the hour and minute.
3. Press the Setting Button again to save the time. The clock display will stop flashing.

3.2 Setting Feeding Times and Laps

The feeder can be programmed for up to 3 feedings per day, with 1-3 rotations (laps) per feeding. To set the feeding schedule:

1. After setting the clock, press the Setting Button (gear icon) briefly to enter feeding time setting mode. The first feeding time will flash.
2. Use the "▲" or "▼" buttons to adjust the desired feeding hour and minute.
3. Press the Setting Button again to move to the feeding laps setting for that time. Use "▲" or "▼" to select 1, 2, or 3 rotations.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the second and third feeding times if desired.
5. Once all settings are complete, long press the Manual Button (hand icon) to save the settings and exit.

3.3 Manual Feeding

To dispense food manually at any time, simply press the Manual Button (hand icon) once. The feeder will perform one rotation and dispense food.

3.4 Adjusting Food Output

The feeder features an adjustable feeding slider to control the amount of food dispensed per rotation. This allows you to customize the portion size based on your fish's needs and the type of food used (e.g., pellets, flakes).

• Locate the adjustable slider on the food drum.
• Slide it to increase or decrease the opening size, thereby controlling the amount of food released.
• It is recommended to test the output a few times to find the perfect amount for your tank.

4. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your fish feeder:

• Cleaning the Silo: The food silo can be easily disassembled for cleaning. It is recommended to hand wash the silo regularly to prevent food buildup and maintain hygiene.
• Moisture Prevention: Ensure the feeder is positioned to prevent moisture from entering the food hopper, which can cause food to clump or mold.
• Battery Care: Recharge the feeder when the battery indicator is low to ensure continuous operation.

5. Troubleshooting

• Feeder Not Dispensing Food:

  • Ensure the adjustable feeding slider is open sufficiently for the type of food being used. Flakes may need a larger opening than pellets.

• Feeder Dispensing Continuously or Not Stopping:
