1. Introduction

3.1 Unpacking and Placement

3.2 Leveling the Balance
Accurate measurements depend on a perfectly level balance. Use the adjustable feet and the built-in level bubble to achieve this.
- Locate the level bubble, typically on the front or side of the balance.
- Adjust the four screws (feet) at the bottom of the balance until the air bubble is centered within the circle of the level indicator.

3.3 Power Connection
The balance can be powered by an AC adapter or a 9V DC battery.
- AC Power: Connect the provided AC adapter to the power input port on the balance and then to a suitable power outlet.

4. Operation
4.1 Basic Weighing
- Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the balance. Wait for the display to show "0.00g".
- Place the item directly onto the center of the weighing pan. The weight will be displayed.

4.2 Tare Function
The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so only the weight of the contents is measured.
- Place an empty container on the weighing pan. The display will show its weight.
- Press the TARE/ZERO button. The display will reset to "0.00g".
- Add the items to be weighed into the container. The display will show the net weight of the items.

4.3 Unit Conversion
To change the weighing unit, press the UNIT button repeatedly until the desired unit is displayed. The available units include:

4.4 Piece Counting (PCS)
The piece counting function allows you to count multiple items of the same weight.
- Place a sample quantity of items (e.g., 10, 20, 50, or 100 pieces) on the weighing pan.
- Press the PCS button. The display will prompt you to select the sample quantity.
- Use the UNIT button to select the corresponding sample quantity (e.g., "10", "20").
- Press PCS again to confirm. The display will now show the number of pieces.
- You can now add more items, and the balance will count them based on the sample weight.
5. Calibration
Regular calibration ensures the accuracy of your balance. This model supports external calibration.
- Ensure the balance is on a stable, level surface and powered on.
- With nothing on the weighing pan, press and hold the CAL button until the display shows "CAL" followed by a calibration weight value (e.g., "500.00g").
- Place the specified calibration weight (e.g., 500g) onto the center of the weighing pan.
- The balance will process the calibration. Once complete, the display will show "PASS" or return to normal weighing mode.
- Remove the calibration weight.
Note: For 500g to 3000g capacity scales, calibration weights are typically included. For 5000g scales, calibration weights are not included due to their size and potential for shipping damage.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
To maintain accuracy and prolong the life of your balance:
- The stainless steel weighing pan is removable for easy cleaning. Wipe it with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the balance in water.
