1. Introduction
This instruction manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your Bosch Professional 18V System Cordless Drill-Driver GSR 18V-110 C. Please read these instructions thoroughly before initial operation and keep them for future reference. Proper use and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your tool.
2. Safety Instructions
WARNING: Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations, and specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
2.1 General Power Tool Safety
- Work Area Safety: Keep work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
- Electrical Safety: Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
- Personal Safety: Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury. Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
2.2 Drill-Driver Specific Safety
- Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the fastener may contact hidden wiring. Fasteners contacting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock.
- Wear ear protectors when impact drilling. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
- Use auxiliary handle(s) if supplied with the tool. Loss of control can result in personal injury.
- Secure the workpiece. A workpiece clamped with clamping devices or in a vice is held more securely than by hand.
- Wait until the power tool has come to a complete stop before placing it down. The tool insert can snag and lead to loss of control over the power tool.

4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation and Removal
- Installation: Insert a charged Bosch Professional 18V Lithium-Ion battery into the battery interface until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely seated.
- Removal: Press the battery release button and pull the battery out of the tool.
Note: Batteries and charger are sold separately. Only use Bosch Professional 18V System batteries.
4.2 Attaching the Auxiliary Handle
The auxiliary handle provides improved control, especially when working with high torque or large drill bits. Loosen the handle by twisting it counter-clockwise, slide it onto the drill's neck, position it for comfortable use, and then tighten it by twisting clockwise.
4.3 Inserting and Removing Drill Bits/Screwdriver Bits
- Inserting: Rotate the keyless chuck counter-clockwise until the jaws are open wide enough to accept the bit. Insert the bit fully into the chuck. Rotate the chuck clockwise firmly by hand until the bit is securely clamped.
- Removing: Rotate the keyless chuck counter-clockwise to loosen the jaws and remove the bit.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Selecting Rotation Direction
Use the rotation direction switch to select forward (clockwise) or reverse (counter-clockwise) rotation. For drilling and screwdriving, set to forward. For loosening screws, set to reverse. Ensure the switch is in the center position to lock the trigger for safety when not in use.
5.2 Selecting Gear
The gear selector allows you to choose between two speed settings:
- 1st Gear (Low Speed, High Torque): Ideal for screwdriving and drilling large diameters.
- 2nd Gear (High Speed, Lower Torque): Suitable for drilling smaller diameters and faster work progression.
Always change gears when the tool is stopped to prevent damage.
5.3 Setting Torque and Operating Mode
The torque preselection ring allows you to adjust the torque for screwdriving applications or select the drilling mode.
- Screwdriving: Set the ring to the desired torque setting. The clutch will disengage once the set torque is reached, preventing overtightening or damage to the screw/workpiece. Start with a lower setting and increase as needed.
- Drilling: Set the ring to the drill symbol. This provides maximum torque for drilling operations.
5.4 On/Off Switch and Speed Control
Press the On/Off switch to start the tool. The tool features variable speed control; the further you press the trigger, the faster the tool operates. Release the switch to stop the tool.
5.5 KickBack Control
The GSR 18V-110 C is equipped with KickBack Control, an integrated sensor that detects sudden, uncontrolled rotation of the tool (e.g., due to a jammed drill bit). In such an event, the KickBack Control immediately shuts down the motor to reduce the risk of injury to the user. This feature enhances safety during demanding tasks.
5.6 Connectivity (TrackMyTools)
This tool is compatible with Bosch's TrackMyTools and Smart Fleet Management System. This allows for digital management of your tools, including location tracking and usage data. An optional Bluetooth module may be required for full functionality. Refer to the Bosch Professional website or your dealer for more information on compatible modules and system setup.

6. Maintenance and Care
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your drill-driver.
- Cleaning: Keep the ventilation slots of the power tool clean to prevent overheating. Regularly clean the tool housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
- Chuck Maintenance: Periodically clean the chuck jaws to ensure proper gripping of bits.
- Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not expose them to extreme temperatures. Follow the charging instructions provided with your Bosch charger.
- Storage: When not in use, store the tool and its accessories in the L-BOXX in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
