Setup

Assembly

1. Insert the upper handle into the base unit until it clicks securely into place.
2. Attach the clean water tank and dirty water tank to their respective positions on the machine.
3. Ensure all components are firmly attached before use.

Filling the Clean Water Tank

1. Remove the clean water tank from the machine.
2. Unscrew the cap at the bottom of the tank.
3. Fill the tank with hot tap water (not boiling) up to the 'Water Fill' line.
4. Add the recommended amount of BISSELL cleaning formula to the 'Formula Fill' line. Refer to your cleaning formula's instructions for specific ratios.
5. Securely replace the cap and reattach the tank to the machine.

Operating

Carpet Cleaning

1. Plug the machine into a grounded electrical outlet.
2. Select your desired cleaning mode: Max Clean for deep cleaning or Express Clean for faster drying.
3. Press the power button to turn on the machine.
4. Hold down the spray trigger while making a slow forward pass over the carpet.
5. Release the spray trigger and make a slow backward pass over the same area to suction up the dirty water.
6. Repeat passes until the water being suctioned up appears clean.
7. For Express Clean mode, additional dry passes without spraying can help reduce drying time.

Using the Hose and Tools

1. Ensure the machine is off and unplugged.
2. Open the hose access door on the front of the machine and firmly insert the hose.
3. Attach the desired cleaning tool (e.g., 3-in-1 Tough Stain Tool, Sliding Stair Tool) to the end of the hose.
4. Plug in the machine and turn it on.
5. Press the spray trigger on the tool to apply solution and scrub the surface.
6. Release the trigger and apply downward pressure while pulling the tool towards you to suction up the dirty water.
7. When finished, turn off the machine, unplug it, and remove the hose and tool. Close the hose access door.

Maintenance

Emptying and Cleaning the Dirty Water Tank

1. Turn off and unplug the machine.
2. Remove the dirty water tank from the base.
3. Carefully pour out the dirty water into a sink or toilet.
4. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
5. Clean the red debris filter inside the tank if necessary.
6. Allow the tank to air dry before reattaching.

Cleaning Brush Rolls and Nozzle

1. Turn off and unplug the machine.
2. Remove the nozzle cover by lifting the latch.
3. Carefully remove the brush rolls. Clean any hair or debris wrapped around them.
4. Rinse the brush rolls and nozzle cover under running water.
5. Ensure the suction path in the nozzle is clear.
6. Allow parts to dry completely before reassembling.
7. Reinsert the brush rolls and secure the nozzle cover.
