4.1 Unpacking and Placement

4.3 Power Connection
After all audio connections are made, plug the power cord into the AC IN socket on the rear of the unit, then into a standard wall outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Playback (5-CD Changer)
- Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button for the 5-CD changer (Deck A) to open the disc tray.
- Place up to five CDs onto the disc tray, ensuring they are seated correctly with the label side up.
- Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the tray.
- Press the PLAY button (►) to begin playback. Use the DISC SKIP buttons to select a specific disc.
5.2 Recording CDs
The RCD-W500C allows recording from the 5-CD changer (Deck A) to the recording deck (Deck B), or from an external source connected to the input terminals.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button for the recording deck (Deck B) and place a blank CD-R or CD-RW disc onto the tray. Close the tray.
- Select the input source using the INPUT button (e.g., ANALOG, OPTICAL, or Deck A for dubbing).
- For dubbing from Deck A, load the source CD into the 5-CD changer.
- Press the REC button to enter recording standby mode. The REC indicator will flash.
- Press PLAY (►) on the source (Deck A or external device) and then press REC again on Deck B to start recording. For high-speed dubbing, select 4x HIGH SPEED DUBBING if available.
- To stop recording, press the STOP (■) button.
- After recording, press the FINALIZE button to make the recorded disc playable on other CD players. Follow the on-screen prompts.

5.3 Using the Remote Control
The supplied remote control (RM-R52) provides convenient access to all functions from a distance. Ensure batteries are correctly inserted. Point the remote control directly at the unit's remote sensor.
