The Vanxse VS-BX5100 is a high-definition 960H 1000TVL bullet box camera featuring a 1/3" Color Super HAD CCD Effio-E processor and a 6-60mm F1.6 varifocal auto iris lens. It is designed for both indoor and outdoor surveillance applications.

2. Safety Information
- Ensure the power supply voltage matches the camera's requirements (DC 12V).

3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Package Contents

3.2 Physical Installation
The camera supports various mounting options including wall mounting, ceiling mounting, and hoisting. The mounting block can be repositioned on the front, bottom, or sides of the camera body.
- Choose a suitable location for surveillance, considering the camera's field of view and environmental conditions.
- Securely attach the camera bracket to the chosen surface using appropriate screws and anchors.

3.3 Connecting the Camera
The VS-BX5100 camera uses a BNC connector for video output and a DC 12V input for power. It can be connected to a DVR, a monitor with a BNC interface, or a TV/monitor with an RCA interface using an adapter.
- Power Connection: Connect a DC 12V power adapter to the "DC 12V IN" port on the rear of the camera.
- Video Output: Connect a BNC cable from the "VIDEO OUT" port on the camera to your Digital Video Recorder (DVR) or monitor.
- Alternative Video Connections:
- For monitors with a VGA/HDMI interface, connect the BNC cable to a DVR, then the DVR to the monitor.
- For TVs/monitors with an RCA interface, use a BNC Female to RCA Male adapter to connect the BNC cable to the RCA input.

3.4 Lens Adjustment
The camera features a 6-60mm varifocal lens with auto iris. Adjustments for zoom and focus are typically made manually on the lens itself to achieve the desired field of view and image clarity.
- Zoom: Rotate the zoom ring on the lens to adjust the magnification level.
- Focus: Rotate the focus ring to achieve a sharp image. It is recommended to adjust zoom first, then fine-tune the focus.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On
Once all connections are secure, plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet. The camera will power on automatically.
4.2 On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu
The camera features an OSD menu for advanced settings configuration. Access the OSD menu using the buttons located on the rear panel of the camera (refer to Figure 3.3).
- Use the "SET UP" button to enter the menu.
- Use the up/down arrow buttons to navigate through menu options.
- Use the left/right arrow buttons to change values or select sub-menus.
- Press "SET UP" again to confirm selections or exit a sub-menu.
Common OSD settings may include:
- Exposure: Adjust brightness, shutter speed, and gain.
- White Balance: Set color temperature for accurate color reproduction.
- Day/Night Mode: Configure automatic switching between color (day) and black & white (night) modes.
- DNR (Digital Noise Reduction): Reduce image noise in low-light conditions.
- Motion Detection: Configure motion sensing areas and sensitivity (if supported by the camera's OSD).
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body.
- For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution to avoid scratches.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
5.2 Environmental Considerations
The camera has an IP54 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and splashing water from any direction. While suitable for many outdoor environments, it is not fully waterproof and should be protected from direct heavy rain or submersion.
