Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to properly install the weelye DIY Wiring Harness and Switch Kit into your electric ride-on toy. Basic technical knowledge and tools may be required.
1. Wiring Connections Overview
The kit provides a complete set of wires and switches designed for easy integration. Ensure all connections are secure and match the corresponding terminals.

2. Connecting the Battery and Motors
Connect the red wire from the main harness to the positive (+) terminal of your 12V or 24V battery. Connect the black wire to the negative (-) terminal. Ensure the two wires for each gearbox are connected correctly to the motor lines from the control box. If using two motors, ensure they are wired in parallel for 12V systems or series for 24V systems, depending on your motor specifications and desired performance.
3. Installing Switches and Pedal
Install the power switch, high/low speed switch, forward/reverse shifter, and foot pedal into their designated locations on the ride-on toy's dashboard or chassis. Ensure all connections are firm. The foot pedal switch wiring typically uses two blue lines. The high/low speed switch has two pins on the high-speed side that must be connected on the same side. The one-button start power switch has a black cable connecting to the middle pin, with other two wires freely connected to the other two pins. The front and rear push handle switches (shifter) correspond to R gear (yellow), P gear (blue), and D gear (green), and must be connected to the three pins on the same side.

Operating Instructions
1. Remote Control Pairing
To pair the remote control with the electric car's control box:
- Insert 2 AAA batteries into the remote control.
- Turn on the power switch of the electric car.
- Long press the frequency matching button on the remote control (usually the 'Match' button or a central button) for 3 seconds.
- When the red light on the remote control flashes, it indicates successful frequency matching.
- Test the remote control by pressing forward and backward buttons to check if the motors respond. Also, check left and right steering functionality.
Note: First-time use requires matching. The product has memory function, so replacing batteries does not require re-matching. If the remote is inactive for 10 seconds, it will enter standby mode; press any key to wake it up.
2. Driving the Electric Car
- Power On/Off: Use the push-button power switch to turn the car on or off.
- Speed Selection: Use the high/low speed switch to select the desired driving speed.
- Direction Control: Use the forward/reverse shifter to select forward, neutral, or reverse gears.
- Acceleration: Press the foot pedal to accelerate the car.
- Remote Control Operation: Use the remote control to steer (left/right buttons) and control forward/backward movement (front/back buttons) and speed (speed button). The 'P' key on the remote is typically for parking/brake.
Maintenance
- Battery Care: Ensure the battery is charged according to its manufacturer's instructions. Avoid overcharging or completely draining the battery to prolong its lifespan.
- Wiring Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections for looseness or damage. Secure any loose connections and replace damaged wires immediately.
- Motor and Gearbox: Inspect motors and gearboxes for any unusual noises or signs of wear. Lubricate moving parts if necessary, following the gearbox manufacturer's recommendations.
- Switches and Pedal: Ensure all switches and the foot pedal operate smoothly and respond correctly. Clean any debris that might obstruct their function.
- Overload Protector: The kit includes an overload protector (fuse). If the car stops unexpectedly, check if the fuse has tripped. Allow it to cool down before resetting.

- Car Not Moving:
- Check battery charge level.
- Verify all wiring connections are secure.
- Ensure the power switch is ON.
- Check the overload protector (fuse) for tripping.
- Confirm remote control is paired and batteries are fresh.
- Intermittent Power:
- Inspect battery terminals for corrosion or loose connections.
- Check main power wires for damage.
- Remote Control Not Responding:
