1. Introduction

The Amazfit T-Rex is a rugged military-grade outdoor smartwatch designed for durability in harsh environments. 3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Watch

Before first use, fully charge your Amazfit T-Rex. Connect the magnetic charging pod to the charging contacts on the back of the watch. Plug the USB end of the cable into a USB power adapter (5V/1A recommended) or a computer's USB port. The watch display will show the charging progress.

3.2 Initial Power On and Pairing

1. Press and hold the 'UP' button (top left) for a few seconds to power on the watch.
2. Download and install the Zepp App (formerly Amazfit App) on your smartphone from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
3. Open the Zepp App, create an account, and log in.
4. In the app, go to 'Profile' > 'My Devices' > '+ Add device' > 'Watch' > 'Watch with a QR code'.
5. Scan the QR code displayed on your Amazfit T-Rex watch screen using your phone's camera.
6. Follow the on-screen prompts in the app and on the watch to complete the pairing process. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.

4. Operating the Watch

4.1 Navigation

The Amazfit T-Rex can be operated using its touch screen and four physical buttons:

• Touch Screen: Swipe up/down/left/right to navigate menus and view information. Tap to select items.
• UP button (top left): Scroll up in menus, access quick settings.
• SELECT button (top right): Confirm selection, enter sub-menus.
• DOWN button (bottom left): Scroll down in menus, access notifications.
• BACK button (bottom right): Return to the previous screen, long press to return to the watch face.

4.2 Display and Watch Faces

The 1.3-inch AMOLED display offers vibrant colors and deep blacks. It supports an 'Always-On Display' mode, allowing you to see the time without raising your wrist. The ambient light sensor automatically adjusts screen brightness for optimal visibility in various lighting conditions. You can customize watch faces via the Zepp App.

4.3 Notifications

Once paired with your smartphone, the Amazfit T-Rex can receive notifications for calls, texts, emails, and social media apps. Configure which app notifications you wish to receive through the Zepp App settings.

6.1 Cleaning and Care

6.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) before storing to prolong its lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Watch Not Powering On

• Ensure the watch is fully charged. Connect it to the charging pod and a power source for at least 30 minutes.
• Try pressing and holding the 'UP' button for 10-15 seconds to force a restart.

7.2 Unable to Pair with Smartphone

• Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the watch is within range.
• Restart both your smartphone and the watch.
• Ensure the Zepp App is updated to the latest version.
• If previously paired, try unpairing the watch from your phone's Bluetooth settings and then re-pairing through the Zepp App.

7.3 Inaccurate Heart Rate/GPS Data

• Ensure the watch is worn snugly on your wrist, about one finger's width from your wrist bone.
• For GPS, ensure you are in an open outdoor area with a clear view of the sky. Wait for the GPS signal to lock before starting your activity.
