Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off: Slide the pendulum/transit lock to the unlocked position to power on the device and activate self-leveling mode. Slide it to the locked position to power off and protect the pendulum during transport.
  2. Self-Leveling Mode: When unlocked, the laser level will automatically self-level within ±4°. If the device is outside this range, the laser lines will flash rapidly, and an audible alarm may sound, indicating an out-of-level condition. Adjust the position until the lines stabilize.
  3. Manual / Tilt Mode: To use the laser at an angle, first lock the pendulum/transit lock. Then, press and hold the operation button to activate manual mode. The laser lines will be projected at the desired angle without self-leveling.
  4. Switching Laser Lines: Press the operation button (power button) to cycle through different laser line combinations (e.g., horizontal only, vertical only, all lines).
  5. Pulse Mode: Press the pulse mode button (P+) to activate pulse mode. This mode is indicated by the pulse mode indicator light. Pulse mode is essential for use with a laser receiver in bright light or outdoor conditions to extend the working range. Press the button again to deactivate.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the laser level. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the laser windows clean for optimal beam clarity.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the laser level in its hard-shell carrying case with the pendulum lock engaged. Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: For long-term storage, charge the lithium-ion battery to approximately 50% and recharge every 3-6 months to maintain battery health.
  • Calibration: If you suspect the laser level is out of calibration, refer to the troubleshooting section or contact customer support. Do not attempt to recalibrate the device yourself unless specifically instructed.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Laser lines are flashing rapidly and/or alarm sounds. The device is out of its self-leveling range (±4°). Adjust the position of the laser level until it is within the self-leveling range. Ensure it is on a stable surface.
Laser lines are dim or not visible outdoors. Bright ambient light or long working distance. Activate Pulse Mode (P+ button) and use a Huepar laser receiver (sold separately) to detect the beam.
Device does not power on. Battery is low or not installed correctly; pendulum lock is engaged. Charge the battery or ensure it is properly installed. Unlock the pendulum/transit lock. If using without battery, ensure it's plugged into a power source.
Laser lines are not level in manual mode. This is expected behavior for manual/tilt mode. Manual mode is designed for projecting lines at an angle. If you need level lines, ensure the pendulum lock is unlocked for self-leveling mode.
