3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your wireless door chime system:

  1. Powering the Receiver: Plug the wireless doorbell receiver into a standard electrical socket. The LED indicator on the receiver will light up, indicating it is powered on.
  2. Installing the Door Sensor:
    • Identify the two parts of the door sensor: the main sensor unit and the magnetic strip.
    • Ensure the two parts are aligned and close to each other (within 0.4 inches) when the door/window is closed.
    • Peel off the protective film from the double-sided adhesive tape on the back of both sensor parts.
    • Attach one part to the door/window frame and the other part to the door/window itself. Make sure they are securely fastened and remain aligned when the door/window is closed.
  3. Initial Pairing (Pre-matched): The wireless door chime and sensors are typically pre-matched at the factory. When the door sensor is separated (door opens), the receiver should chime.
  4. Pairing Additional Sensors or Receivers: If you need to add more sensors or receivers, or re-pair existing ones, follow these steps:
    • Press and hold the 'Volume Button' and 'Down Button' on the receiver simultaneously for about 3-5 seconds until you hear a ring. This indicates the receiver is in pairing mode.
    • Quickly separate the two parts of the door sensor you wish to pair. You will hear the door chime ring, confirming successful pairing.

The Bistee Wireless Door Chime is designed for simple and effective operation:

  • Chime Activation: When the door or window with the installed sensor is opened, the two parts of the sensor separate, triggering the receiver to play the selected chime.
  • Selecting Melodies: The receiver offers 58 different melodies. Use the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons on the side of the receiver to cycle through the available chimes. Stop pressing when you find your preferred melody.
  • Adjusting Volume: The receiver has 5 adjustable volume levels, ranging from 0 dB (silent) to 110 dB. Press the 'Volume Button' on the side of the receiver to cycle through the volume levels until you reach your desired loudness.
  • LED Indicator: The blue LED light on the receiver illuminates when triggered, providing a visual alert, which is particularly useful for the hearing impaired or when the chime is in silent mode.

5. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Bistee Wireless Door Chime:

  • Battery Replacement: The door sensors are powered by 23A 12V Alkaline batteries. It is recommended to change the battery approximately every 12 months, or when the signal receiving range is affected. To replace the battery, gently open the sensor unit using a small screwdriver (if necessary) and insert a new battery, ensuring correct polarity. You do not need to remove the door magnet when replacing the battery.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the chime and sensor units with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Placement: Avoid placing the units in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with high humidity.
