1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your LiteFuze LT-1500UD 1500 Watt Step Up/Down Voltage Converter Transformer. Please read these instructions thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper functionality and to prevent damage to the unit or connected appliances.
The LiteFuze LT-1500UD is designed to convert electrical voltage between 110-120V AC and 220-240V AC, allowing you to use appliances from different regions. It features a maximum capacity of 1500 watts.
2. Important Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or damage to the product or connected devices.
- Always ensure the input voltage selector switch on the rear of the unit is set correctly for the local power supply (110-120V or 220-240V) before plugging in the converter. Incorrect setting can cause severe damage.
- Do not use this converter for North American 220V applications, such as electric dryers or air conditioners, which require a different type of 220V supply.
- Connect appliances to the correct output socket: 110V appliances to the OUTPUT AC 110V socket, and 220V appliances to the OUTPUT AC 220V socket.
- The total wattage of all connected appliances must not exceed 80% of the converter's maximum rated capacity (1500W). For devices with motors, heating elements, or compressors, it is recommended to use a converter with at least 1.5 times the appliance's wattage to accommodate startup surges.
- The unit is equipped with a dual circuit breaker fuse for overload protection. If the breaker trips, disconnect the appliance, reduce the load, and reset the breaker using the buttons on the rear panel.
- Ensure the converter is placed on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation. Do not block ventilation openings.
- Keep the converter away from water, moisture, direct sunlight, and extreme temperatures.
- Do not open the converter casing. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
- This converter changes voltage only; it does not change frequency (Hz). Ensure your appliance is compatible with the local frequency.

4. Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the converter from its packaging. Verify that all components are present and undamaged.
- Placement: Place the converter on a dry, stable, and well-ventilated surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for heat dissipation.
- Select Input Voltage: Locate the red AC IN SELECTOR switch on the rear panel of the converter. Crucially, set this switch to match the voltage of the wall outlet you will be plugging the converter into.
- If plugging into a 110-120V power source (e.g., in North America), set the switch to 110-120V.
- If plugging into a 220-240V power source (e.g., in Europe, Asia), set the switch to 220-240V.
Incorrect input voltage selection will damage the converter and potentially connected appliances.
- Connect Converter to Power: Plug the converter's integrated power cord into the wall outlet. Do not turn on the converter yet.
- Connect Appliance: Plug your appliance into the appropriate output socket on the front of the converter:
- For 110-120V appliances, use the OUTPUT AC 110V socket.
- For 220-240V appliances, use the OUTPUT AC 220V universal socket.
Ensure the appliance's wattage does not exceed the converter's capacity (1500W, or 80% for continuous use/motorized devices).

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the converter from the power source before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Ventilation: Regularly check that the ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris to ensure proper airflow and prevent overheating.
- Storage: Store the converter in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Circuit Breaker: The built-in circuit breakers do not require regular maintenance. If they trip, follow the troubleshooting steps to reset them.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Power / Converter Not Turning On:
- Ensure the converter's power cord is securely plugged into a live wall outlet.
- Check the wall outlet by plugging in another device.
- Verify the AC IN SELECTOR switch on the rear is set correctly for your local power supply.
- Check if the circuit breaker has tripped (see below).
- Circuit Breaker Trips / Power Cuts Off:
- This indicates an overload. Immediately turn off the converter and disconnect the connected appliance(s).
- Verify that the total wattage of your appliance(s) does not exceed 80% of the converter's 1500W capacity. For motor-driven or heating appliances, ensure the converter's capacity is at least 1.5 times the appliance's wattage.
- Allow the converter to cool down for a few minutes.
- Press the appropriate circuit breaker reset button(s) on the rear panel (AC 110-120V or AC 220-240V) until they click back into place.
- Reconnect the appliance(s) and turn the converter back on. If the breaker trips again, the appliance may be drawing too much power, or there may be an internal fault.
- Appliance Not Working After Connection:
- Ensure the appliance is plugged into the correct output socket (110V or 220V).
- Check if the appliance itself is functioning correctly by testing it with its original power source if possible.
- Verify the converter is powered on and the power indicator light is illuminated.
