Operating Instructions

The Baumatic BMEH32E ceramic hob features a front touch slide control panel for easy operation.

Turning On/Off

  • To turn on the hob, press and hold the power button for a few seconds.
  • To turn off, press and hold the power button again.

Selecting and Adjusting Cooking Zones

This hob has two electric ceramic cooking zones:

  • 1 x Dual High-Speed Zone: 0.70/1.70 kW, Ø 120/180 mm. Ideal for various pot sizes.
  • 1 x Standard High-Speed Zone: 1.20 kW, Ø 140 mm.

To select a cooking zone, touch the corresponding zone selection button. Use the touch slide control to adjust the heat level from 1 (low) to 9 (high).

Timer Function

The electronic timer can be set for up to 99 minutes. To use the timer:

  1. Select the cooking zone you wish to apply the timer to.
  2. Press the timer button.
  3. Use the touch slide control or +/- buttons to set the desired cooking time.
  4. The hob will automatically switch off the selected zone once the time expires.

Safety Lock

The safety lock feature prevents accidental operation, especially useful in households with children. To activate/deactivate the safety lock, refer to the specific instructions in your full user manual, typically involving pressing and holding a designated lock button.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ceramic hob.

  • Daily Cleaning: After each use, allow the hob to cool down completely. Wipe the ceramic surface with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild detergent. Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth.
  • Stubborn Stains: For burnt-on food or stubborn stains, use a specialized ceramic hob cleaner and a hob scraper (plastic or razor blade designed for ceramic hobs). Follow the product instructions carefully.
  • Avoid: Do not use abrasive sponges, scouring pads, or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can damage the ceramic surface and stainless steel frame.
  • Stainless Steel Frame: Clean the stainless steel frame with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner.
