Setup and Installation
The HP F650 Dash Cam is designed for incredibly easy installation. Follow these steps for proper setup:
- Prepare MicroSD Card: Insert a Class 10 microSD card (32GB or larger, not included) into the dash cam. It is crucial to format the card using the dash cam's menu before its first use to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
- Mounting: The dash cam uses an adhesive mount. First, apply one of the electrostatic stickers to your windshield in the desired location. Then, attach the adhesive bracket onto the electrostatic sticker. This allows for easy removal and repositioning without leaving residue directly on the windshield.
- Adjust Angle: Once mounted, adjust the camera's angle to ensure a clear and unobstructed view of the road. The mount allows for flexible positioning.
- Power Connection: Connect the car power supply (with Mini USB Connector) to the dash cam and plug it into your vehicle's 12V power outlet. Use the provided cord clips to neatly route and hide the power cable, for example, behind your headliner and pillar trim.
- Initial Power On: The dash cam is designed to automatically turn on when the engine starts and turn off when the engine is off, provided it is connected to a switched power source.

Operating Instructions
The HP F650 Dash Cam offers several key features to enhance your driving experience and provide security.
Automatic Operation
The dash cam will automatically begin recording when your vehicle's engine starts and will power off when the engine is turned off. This ensures continuous coverage without manual intervention.
Loop Recording
The device supports loop recording, which continuously records footage by overwriting the oldest files when the memory card is full. This ensures that you always have the most recent recordings available. The SD card memory is partitioned as follows: 50% for general video, 35% for emergency video, and the remaining space for photos and system reserved data.
Built-in G-Sensor (Emergency Recording)
The integrated G-Sensor detects sudden movements or collisions. In the event of an impact, the camera will automatically activate and lock the current recording to an "EVENT" file. These accident files are protected from being overwritten by loop recording, preserving critical evidence.

Wide Angle and High Definition Recording
The 150-degree wide-angle lens captures a broad view of the road, minimizing blind spots. The camera records in Full HD 1080P, providing clear and detailed video and audio.

Night Vision and HDR Capability
The HP F650 features enhanced night vision technology and low light HDR (High Dynamic Range) capability, ensuring clear recordings even in challenging low-light conditions.

Parking Mode
The device supports Parking Mode, which requires the purchase of an optional C501 ACC cable. This feature allows the dash cam to monitor your vehicle while parked, providing additional security.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your HP F650 Dash Cam, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- MicroSD Card Management: Regularly format your microSD card (at least once a month) using the dash cam's menu to prevent data corruption and ensure smooth recording. While the dash cam supports loop recording, frequent formatting helps maintain card health.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and the 2-inch LCD screen. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surfaces.
- Temperature: The built-in supercapacitor allows the dash cam to withstand temperatures from 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C). Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures outside this range for prolonged periods.
- Power Supply: Always use the original car power supply provided with the dash cam to ensure stable power delivery and prevent damage.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your HP F650 Dash Cam, please refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Camera not turning on: Ensure the car power supply is securely connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's 12V outlet. Check if the vehicle's power outlet is functioning.
- Recording issues (e.g., not recording, freezing):
- Verify that a Class 10 microSD card is inserted.
- Format the microSD card using the dash cam's settings menu.
- Try a different, known-good microSD card.
- Ensure the card is not full. Remember the partitioning: 50% general, 35% emergency, rest for photos/system. Consider a larger capacity card (e.g., 64GB) if you need more storage for general video.
- Video quality issues: Ensure the lens is clean and free from smudges or dust. Check the recording resolution settings in the camera menu.
- G-Sensor not triggering: Adjust the G-Sensor sensitivity setting in the camera menu. If set too low, it may not detect minor impacts.
