Setup and Installation
The SMARTSTANDARD barn door hardware kit is designed for easy installation. Follow these general steps for a successful setup. For detailed instructions, refer to the included manual or contact customer support.
- Mark Stud Locations: Identify and mark the stud locations on your wall where the rail will be mounted.
- Attach Headboard (if needed): If your wall does not have studs at the correct spacing or if you prefer, attach a sturdy wooden headboard to the wall first.
- Install Metal Track: Securely mount the two rail sections to the wall or headboard using the provided hardware. Ensure they are level and properly connected with the rail connector.
- Install Rollers: Attach the hangers (rollers) to the top edge of your barn door panels.
- Mount Anti-Jump Disks: Install the anti-jump disks on the top edge of the door panels to prevent the doors from lifting off the track.
- Mount Stoppers: Install the door stoppers at the ends of the rail to prevent the doors from sliding too far.
- Mount Door Guides: Install the floor guide to keep the bottom of the doors aligned and prevent swinging.
- Lift and Place Doors: Carefully lift and place the door panels onto the installed rail.

Operating Instructions
The bypass barn door system allows two doors to slide independently on a single track, providing flexibility for accessing different parts of your opening. To operate, simply grasp the door handle (not included) and slide the door along the track. The rollers are designed for smooth and quiet movement.
Due to the bypass design, there will be an 8-12 inch overlap space when the doors are closed. Ensure your door panels are wide enough to fully cover the opening when both doors are in their closed positions.

Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe down the rail and rollers periodically with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Lubrication: If the doors begin to feel stiff or noisy, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the roller bearings and the top of the track. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract dirt.
- Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Tighten any loose fasteners to maintain stability and smooth operation.
- Floor Guide: Keep the floor guide free of obstructions to ensure the doors slide smoothly at the bottom.
Troubleshooting
