6. Setup
6.1 Mounting the Light
Choose a suitable location for your motion sensor light, such as a garage, yard, garden, or porch. Ensure the location allows for optimal motion detection and light coverage. The light can be mounted on a wall.
- Mark the desired mounting points on the wall using the light fixture as a template.
- Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. Insert wall anchors if necessary.
- Secure the light fixture to the wall using the provided mounting hardware.
- Adjust the angle of the two light heads and the motion sensor to cover the desired area. The light heads can be adjusted 160° horizontally and 120° vertically. The motion sensor can be adjusted 180° up/down and left/right.

6.2 Power Connection
This light is corded electric. Plug the light into a standard 120V outdoor-rated electrical outlet. If hardwiring, ensure power is off at the circuit breaker and follow local electrical codes for safe connection.
7. Operating Instructions
The motion sensor light features three adjustable knobs on the sensor unit for customization:

Figure 6: Sensor Adjustment Knobs (LUX, SENS, TIME)
- LUX (Light Sensitivity): This knob controls the ambient light level at which the sensor will activate the light.
- Rotate clockwise towards the "sun" icon: The sensor works 24 hours a day, activating the light regardless of ambient light.
- Rotate counter-clockwise towards the "moon" icon: The sensor works only at night, activating the light only when it's dark enough.
- SENS (Sensitivity): This knob adjusts the motion sensor's detection distance.
- Adjust for a detection distance up to 12m (40 feet).
- The detection range is 180°.
- TIME (Duration): This knob sets how long the light remains on after motion is detected and no further motion is sensed.
- Adjustable range from 3 seconds to 12 minutes.
7.1 Motion Sensor Operation
Once powered on and settings are configured, the light will automatically turn on when motion is detected within its sensing range and the ambient light conditions meet the LUX setting. The light will remain on for the duration set by the TIME knob, then turn off if no further motion is detected.
Video 1: Demonstration of LED Motion Sensor Light features, including button adjustments for LUX, SENS, and TIME, and the flexibility of the light heads and sensor. This video also shows the plug-in functionality and how the motion sensor activates the light.
7.2 Dusk to Dawn Functionality
When the LUX knob is set to the "moon" icon, the light will only activate during nighttime hours, providing energy efficiency by preventing activation during daylight. When set to the "sun" icon, the light will operate 24 hours a day, useful for areas that are always dark.

8. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your DLLT LED Motion Sensor Outdoor Light.
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the light fixture and sensor lens with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Regularly check the power cord and connections for any signs of damage or wear. Ensure the mounting is secure.
- Sensor Area: Keep the area around the motion sensor clear of obstructions like overgrown plants or hanging decorations that could interfere with detection or cause false triggers.
9. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your motion sensor light, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on when motion is detected. | No power; LUX setting too high (daylight mode); SENS setting too low; sensor obstructed. | Check power connection. Adjust LUX to "sun" for 24hr operation or "moon" for night only. Increase SENS. Clear obstructions from sensor. |
| Light stays on continuously. | Continuous motion in detection area; LUX setting too low (always on); faulty sensor. | Ensure no constant motion. Adjust LUX to "moon" for night-only operation. If problem persists, contact customer support. |
| Light turns on too frequently or for no apparent reason. | SENS setting too high; sensor picking up distant objects (e.g., cars, animals); environmental factors (e.g., wind, temperature changes). | Decrease SENS. Adjust sensor angle to exclude unwanted detection areas. Consider relocating if environmental factors are persistent. |
| Light turns off too quickly or too slowly. | TIME setting is incorrect. | Adjust the TIME knob to the desired duration (3 seconds to 12 minutes). |
