8. Troubleshooting

  • No Video Output:
    • Ensure the monitor is correctly connected to the HDMI or VGA port and is powered on.
    • Verify the input source on your monitor is set correctly.
    • Check if the DVR is powered on (power indicator light should be on).
  • Cannot Access System After Initial Setup:
    • Ensure you have set a password for the "Admin" user. The system requires a password for access.
    • If you forgot your password, refer to the "Password Reset" section (if available in advanced settings) or contact technical support.
  • Remote Viewing Not Working (XMeye App):
    • Verify the DVR is connected to the internet and has a stable network connection.
    • Ensure the XMeye app is the correct application and is updated to the latest version.
    • Double-check the QR code scan or manual device ID entry.
    • Confirm your router settings are not blocking P2P connections (though P2P is designed to bypass most NAT issues).
  • Low Resolution/Poor Image Quality:
    • Ensure your cameras are compatible with the DVR's resolution capabilities (e.g., 5MP cameras for 5MP recording).
    • Check the video encoding settings in the DVR menu (under "Encode" or "Display") to ensure they are set to the highest supported resolution for your cameras.
    • Verify the quality of your video cables and connections.
  • "No HDD" Warning Constantly Popping Up:
    • This message indicates that no Hard Disk Drive is installed or detected. If you intend to record, you must install a compatible SATA HDD (up to 6TB).
