3. Setup Instructions

1. Connect the SSD: Plug the small end of the included USB-A to USB micro-B cable into the corresponding port on the Verbatim Vx460 External SSD.
2. Connect to Computer: Plug the standard USB-A end of the cable into an available USB port on your computer. For optimal performance, use a USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 Gen 1 port. The SSD is also compatible with USB 2.0 ports, but data transfer speeds will be reduced.
3. Automatic Recognition: Your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers for the SSD. This process typically takes a few moments.
4. Accessing the Drive:
   • Windows: The drive will appear under "This PC" or "My Computer" as a removable disk.
   • macOS: The drive icon will appear on your desktop or in Finder under "Locations".
