Setup
Unpacking and Assembly
Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Ensure all components are present: heater unit, hose & regulator assembly, and handle. Attach the handle securely to the top of the heater using the provided hardware.
Connecting to Propane Supply
- Ensure the heater's control knob is in the 'OFF' position.
- Connect the hose & regulator assembly to the propane tank. Ensure a tight, leak-free connection. Note that the propane tank connection is often left-hand threaded.
- Connect the other end of the hose to the heater's propane inlet.
- Slowly open the valve on the propane tank.
Power Options
This heater offers hybrid power functionality:
- 20V MAX Battery: Insert a fully charged DEWALT 20V MAX Lithium Ion battery into the battery compartment. This powers the fan and igniter for cordless operation.
- 120V AC Power: Alternatively, plug the heater into a standard 120V AC outlet using an appropriate extension cord. This powers the fan and igniter for corded operation.

Operating Instructions
Starting the Heater
- Ensure the propane tank valve is open and the heater is connected to a power source (battery or AC).
- Press the red 'ON' button to activate the fan. A green indicator light will illuminate.
- Rotate the output control knob to the desired heat setting (between 27,000 and 68,000 BTU).
- Press and hold the igniter button for approximately 5-10 seconds until the flame ignites and stabilizes. Release the button once the flame is steady.
Adjusting Heat Output
The heater features a variable rate control knob, allowing you to adjust the heat output from 27,000 BTU to 68,000 BTU. Turn the knob clockwise for lower heat and counter-clockwise for higher heat.

Turning Off the Heater
To turn off the heater, simply press the red 'OFF' button. The fan will continue to run for a short period to cool down the unit before shutting off completely. Close the valve on the propane tank after use.

Troubleshooting
- Heater does not ignite: Check propane tank level, ensure propane valve is fully open, verify power supply (battery charge or AC connection), and ensure the igniter button is held long enough.
- Unusual odor during operation: Ensure the heater is clean and free of dust. Always operate in a well-ventilated area. If the odor persists, discontinue use and consult a qualified technician.
- Heater shuts off unexpectedly: The heater is equipped with safety features, including a high limit switch and a thermoelectric safety valve. Ensure the unit is on a level surface and not overheating due to blocked airflow.
