1. Introduction
The APLUSTE Digital PH Meter is a high-accuracy instrument designed for precise pH measurement across a wide range of applications. 4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
The PH meter comes with two 1.5V LR44 button cells pre-installed. If replacement is needed, open the battery compartment located at the top of the device and insert new batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
4.2. Preparing Calibration Solutions
Before calibration, prepare the buffer solutions using the provided powders:
- For each pH buffer powder (pH 4.00, pH 6.86, pH 9.18), add the powder to a separate beaker with 250ml of distilled water.
- Stir each solution until the powder has completely dissolved.
5. Calibration
Regular calibration ensures the accuracy of your PH meter. It is recommended to calibrate the meter at least once a month, or more frequently if exposed to air for extended periods or when testing polluted water.
- Turn on the PH meter by pressing the 'ON/OFF' button.
- Immerse the electrode into the first standard buffer solution (e.g., pH 6.86).
- Press and hold the 'CAL' button for 5-10 seconds to enter calibration mode.
- Wait for the reading to stabilize (usually 5-10 seconds). The display will stop flashing when calibration is complete for that point.
- Clean the electrode with distilled water and dry it before proceeding to the next buffer solution.
- Repeat steps 2-5 for the pH 4.00 and pH 9.18 buffer solutions.

6. Operating Instructions
Using your PH meter for measurements is straightforward:
- Remove the protective cap from the electrode.
- Turn on the meter by pressing the 'ON/OFF' button.
- Immerse the electrode into the solution you wish to test. Ensure the electrode is fully submerged.
- Stir gently and wait for the displayed pH reading to stabilize. The meter's Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) function will adjust readings based on water temperature for accuracy.
- After finishing, clean the electrode thoroughly with distilled water and turn the meter off by pressing the 'ON/OFF' button. Replace the protective cap.

8. Maintenance
- Cleaning the Electrode: Always rinse the electrode thoroughly with distilled water after each use to prevent contamination and ensure accurate readings. Gently wipe with a clean paper towel.
- Storage: Store the PH meter with the protective cap on. For long-term storage, ensure the electrode is kept moist (e.g., in a small amount of KCL storage solution or distilled water if KCL is unavailable, though KCL is preferred).
- Battery Replacement: If the display becomes dim or the readings are inconsistent, it may be time to replace the LR44 button cells.
