Setup and Installation

Installation typically takes 10-15 minutes. No special tools are required beyond the included radio removal keys.

  1. Turn off the vehicle: Ensure the car's ignition is completely off and the key is removed.
  2. Remove the car radio:

Insert the provided radio removal keys into the slots on the front of your car radio. Apply gentle pressure outwards on the keys while pulling the radio forward to release it from the dashboard. Some radios may require specific techniques; refer to your vehicle's manual if you encounter difficulty.

  4. Connect the adapter:

Carefully plug the blue connector of the BlueMusic Bluetooth Audio Adapter into the corresponding port on the back of your car radio. Ensure it clicks securely into place.

  5. Route the cable:

Route the adapter cable to a suitable location within the dashboard, ensuring it does not interfere with any moving parts or get pinched. You can leave the adapter unit inside the dashboard cavity.

  6. Reinstall the car radio:

Gently slide the car radio back into its slot until it locks into place. Remove the radio removal keys.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Turn on your vehicle's ignition and the car radio.
  2. Select CD Changer Mode: On your car radio, select the CD changer mode (often labeled "CD," "CDC," "AUX," or "Source"). The adapter emulates a CD changer, so this input must be selected for the Bluetooth audio to function.
  3. Pairing with Bluetooth Device:

On your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device, go to the Bluetooth settings.

Search for available devices. The adapter should appear as "BlueMusic" or a similar identifier. Select it to pair.

Once paired, your device will connect automatically when the car radio is set to CD changer mode and Bluetooth is enabled on your device.

  4. Audio Playback:

Start playing audio on your paired device. The sound will be transmitted wirelessly to your car's speakers.

Volume control can be managed via your car radio's volume knob or your paired device.

  5. Steering Wheel Controls:

For compatible car models and radios, steering wheel controls for track skipping (next/previous) and volume adjustment should function normally. Display of track information (artist/title) on the car radio screen is generally not supported by this adapter, only track number.

Maintenance

The BlueMusic Bluetooth Audio Adapter requires minimal maintenance.

  • Keep the adapter and its connections clean and free from dust or debris.
  • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • Avoid pulling or tugging on the cables excessively.
