Safety Information

Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the product:

  • Maximum Pressure: Do not exceed the maximum working pressure of 300 PSI. Over-pressurizing the hose can cause it to burst, leading to serious injury.
  • Inspection: Before each use, inspect the hose for cuts, abrasions, bulges, or damaged fittings. Do not use a damaged hose.
  • Connections: Ensure all connections to air compressors, tools, and accessories are secure and properly sealed before applying air pressure.
  • Disconnecting: Always relieve air pressure from the hose and tools before disconnecting any fittings.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the hose to extreme temperatures outside its operating range.
  • Chemicals: Avoid contact with harsh chemicals, solvents, or corrosive materials that could degrade the hose material.
  • Trip Hazard: Lay out the hose carefully to avoid creating trip hazards in your workspace.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, when operating air tools.

Setup

  1. Uncoil the Hose: Carefully uncoil the JACO FlexPro Hybrid Air Hose from its packaging. Ensure there are no kinks or twists.

Thread one of the 1/4" M-NPT fittings onto the air outlet of your air compressor. Hand-tighten first, then use a wrench to secure it firmly. Do not overtighten. It is recommended to use thread sealant tape (not included) for an airtight connection.

  4. Connect to Air Tool/Accessory:

Attach the other 1/4" M-NPT fitting to your air tool or a quick-connect coupler. Ensure a secure connection. If using a quick-connect coupler, ensure it is compatible with 1/4" NPT fittings.

  5. Check for Leaks: Before operating, turn on the air compressor and pressurize the hose. Apply a soapy water solution to all connections. Bubbles indicate a leak, which must be tightened or re-sealed before use.

Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare Workspace: Ensure your workspace is clear of obstructions and that the air hose is laid out in a manner that avoids trip hazards and sharp edges.
  2. Connect Air Tool: With the air compressor off and pressure relieved, connect your desired air tool to the hose.
  3. Apply Air Pressure: Turn on your air compressor and allow it to reach the desired operating pressure for your tool. Do not exceed 300 PSI.
  4. Use the Hose: The FlexPro Hybrid Air Hose is designed for superior flexibility and resistance to kinking, even in cold weather. Its lightweight nature allows for easy maneuverability around your workspace.

Maintenance

  • Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect the entire length of the hose and its fittings for any signs of wear, damage, or leaks. Replace the hose if any damage is found.
  • Cleaning: Clean the hose with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents that could damage the hybrid polymer material.
  • Storage: When not in use, coil the hose neatly and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, sharp objects, and extreme temperatures. Proper coiling helps prevent kinks and extends hose life.
