Model: TC-320-HB

1. Introduction

The Master Airbrush Cool Runner II Dual Fan Air Compressor (Model TC-320-HB) is a professional-grade, 1/5 HP single-piston airbrush air compressor designed for serious airbrushing applications. It features two built-in cooling fans to ensure longer continuous running time without overheating, a long duty cycle, and premium rotor windings for increased lifespan. This compact and lightweight compressor delivers a high air volume of 0.8 CFM and an air flow of 25 liters/min, providing precise air adjustment control and clean, dry air.

It includes a true diaphragm pressure regulator with a gauge and a water trap filter, an airbrush hose, and a holder for two airbrushes. The compressor operates quietly at 47 dB and is maintenance-free and oil-less. Its "Air-On-Demand System" automatically shuts off air when not in use, and it offers an air pressure adjustment range of 0 to 57 PSI with automatic on/off shutoff.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On and Off

  • To turn on the compressor, flip the red power switch located on the top of the unit to the "ON" position. The compressor will begin to build pressure.
  • The "Air-On-Demand System" will automatically turn the compressor off when the desired pressure is reached and turn it back on when air is drawn.
  • To turn off the compressor, flip the power switch to the "OFF" position.

4.2 Adjusting Air Pressure

  1. The pressure regulator allows you to adjust the output air pressure.
  2. To adjust, pull up the adjustment knob on the top of the regulator to unlock it.
  3. Turn the knob clockwise to increase pressure and counter-clockwise to decrease pressure. Monitor the pressure gauge for the desired PSI.
  4. Once the desired pressure is set, push the adjustment knob down to lock it in place.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Water Trap Maintenance

  • The water trap filter collects moisture from the air. Regularly check the clear bowl for accumulated water.
  • To drain the water, ensure the compressor is off and depressurize the system. Then, press the drain valve located at the bottom of the water trap.
  • Empty the collected water and ensure the valve is securely closed before resuming operation.

5.2 General Cleaning

  • Wipe down the exterior of the compressor with a clean, damp cloth.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure the cooling fins are free from dust and debris to maintain efficient cooling.

6. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Compressor does not turn on.No power, power switch off, faulty power cord.Check power connection, ensure switch is ON, inspect power cord for damage.
No air output or low pressure.Hose not connected properly, airbrush clogged, pressure regulator set too low, water trap full.Check hose connections, clean airbrush, adjust pressure regulator, drain water trap.
Compressor runs continuously.Air leak in the system, pressure regulator not set correctly, "Air-On-Demand" system malfunction.Check all connections for leaks, ensure regulator is locked, contact support if issue persists.
Regulator does not adjust PSI.Adjustment knob is locked.Pull up the adjustment knob to unlock it before turning. Push down to lock.
Compressor gets very hot.Prolonged continuous use, obstructed cooling fins.Allow compressor to cool down between extended uses. Ensure cooling fins are clear of obstructions.
