4. Setup & Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your PURPLE LEAF Cantilever Patio Umbrella:

1. Prepare the Base: If using a water/sand-fillable base (sold separately), fill it completely to ensure maximum stability. The base should weigh approximately 220 lbs (100 kg) when fully filled.
2. Attach Base Tube: Insert the base tube into the weighted base. Secure it using the provided bolts and washers with the Allen wrench.
3. Install Umbrella Pole: Carefully lift the main umbrella pole and insert it into the base tube. Ensure it is seated firmly.
4. Connect Solar Panel: If the solar panel is separate, connect its cord to the designated port on the umbrella frame and securely screw the panel into place at the top of the umbrella.
5. Install Hand Cranks: Attach the hand cranks to their respective positions on the main pole.
6. Remove Packaging: Before opening, remove any protective packaging material, such as Styrofoam, from the umbrella ribs.

5. Operating Instructions

Your PURPLE LEAF umbrella offers versatile adjustments for optimal shade and convenience:

1. Opening the Umbrella: Undo the Velcro strap that secures the folded canopy. Use the main hand crank to slowly extend the umbrella canopy until fully open.
2. Adjusting Height and Angle: Use the handle on the main pole to adjust the umbrella's height and tilt angle. There are 6 preset positions to choose from. Pull the handle to release the lock, adjust to the desired position, and release the handle to secure.
3. 360-Degree Rotation: To rotate the umbrella, use the crank located at the base of the main pole. Turn it clockwise or counter-clockwise to position the umbrella for optimal shade coverage.
4. Operating LED Lights: The LED lights are solar-powered. Ensure the solar panel at the top of the umbrella receives direct sunlight for approximately 8 hours to fully charge the battery. To turn the lights on/off, locate the power button on the control panel near the crank arm.
5. Closing the Umbrella: Use the main hand crank to retract the canopy until it is fully closed. Secure it with the Velcro strap.
