Setup and Installation
This Inlight LED under cabinet light is designed for hardwired installation. Ensure power is disconnected at the circuit breaker before proceeding. The fixture features multiple knockouts for optimized hardwire installation, allowing flexibility in wiring entry points.
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Fixture: Remove the two small screws on the face of the fixture to access the wiring compartment.
- Access Wiring: Remove the backplate to expose the internal wiring.
- Pop Out Knockout: Use a screwdriver to pop out one of the knockouts on the rear access cover, corresponding to your desired wire entry point.
- Install NM Cable Connector: Take off the lock nut from the non-metallic cable connector. Attach the connector to the rear access cover through the popped-out knockout.
- Feed and Strip Wires: Feed the house wires through the connector. Strip approximately 3/8 inch of insulation from the wires.
- Tighten Connector: Tighten the screws on the NM cable connector to secure the wires.
- Reinstall Cover: Arrange the wires neatly inside the fixture and reinstall the rear access cover.
- Connect Wires: Connect the house wires to the fixture's wires using wire nuts: black to black (hot), green or bare copper to green (ground), and white to white (neutral). Ensure all connections are secure.
- Mount to Cabinet: Mount the fixture to the underside of the cabinet using the provided screws. Ensure the fixture is flush and securely attached.
- Add Screw Caps: Place the provided screw caps over the exposed screw heads for a seamless finish.
